McCain busted lying......er "misspeaking" (1 Viewer)

McCain is still an American Hero, I don't think he lied, maybe he was misled himself on the matter.... anyone that never been in the Military including myself need to thankful for men like McCain that have put their lives at risk for their country. Now where is the video of Obama in Iraq... or hell, where is the video of Obama's military career?

McCain is the Man!

So now serving in the military is a requirement to serve in public office? I was unaware of that rule change.

No it is not a requirement, but the way I see it... if someone is going to run our military I atleast want them to have some time served.

that would be like me going to a engineer and tell him how to build a bridge.

Being in the military doesn't mean squat to me. Bush served in the guard to avoid going to Vietnam. His "service" has really helped us in todays military matters.

McCain is great but how about Huckabee?

Huckabee: I'm a theology degree, evangelicals can vote for me, next question?

Reporter: What do you think about Romney and his faith?

Huckabee: Is the Mormons the folks who believe jeebus and the debil is brodas?

and McCain was a POW, your point?

I don't think putting one of the most powerful militaries in the hands of people who have no idea how to run a military is the smartest thing in the world... guess thats why Bush has been such a failure? just alittle bit? no?

I voted against Bush in the elections, because he avoided 'Nam... I dunno, I guess I just like putting our military in the hands of people who have a clue, insted of Hollywood politicans who have it all figured out and backed by talk show host that think they know everything about how to run a Government.:9:

Where is the video of your distinguished military career? I'm unaware of any troops regaling each other with tales of your heroics, whilst partaking of blood wine over the roast beast. Only a true warrior may question the virtue of another, along with one's accomplishments in life surpassing that of his quarry.

If you support McCain's foreign policy, you are not in favor of Bush's foreign policy and McCain supports Bush's foreign policy then I am confused.

I'm not saying McCain is not an American hero but the dude lied through his teeth. You can call it misled but he was trying to mislead people to pursuade opinion on his agenda and most people call that a lie.

McCain reminds me of the scene in Wayne's World when they go to the concert and make a point of showing everyone the backstage passes as they are walking through the crowd except McCain is flaunting war medals and and trying to use them to get elected president. I actually liked McCain about a decade ago but he has since become a pawn for the Republican party. I would certainly take him over Romney, Giuliani and Clinton but that is about it.

I am not necessarily a McCain fan , however , some of his voting record
is rather impressive .
There are instances where he nearly stood alone voting for the interest of the general public and against BIG special interest , while we were all sleeping .
In this case , however , I don't think it's the republican party that he is a pawn of .
They come much bigger than that .

Telecommunications bill .
They gave away ( first the airwaves ) then the digital spectrum
to the broadcasters for free .
They belong to us , the tax - paying general public .
McCain was virtually alone in his opposition .

I think you took what I was saying as being in support of McCain in the race... he is a damn good person but I don't think I could vote for him as president either.

If McCain was alittle more agressive in his politics then he would be one of the best presidents we have had in a long time...

and ZuLu, if I could have served in the military I would have been right on the side of my brothers, cousins, uncles, and freinds that are currently in the military.

Well, should (s)he also have delivered mail because (s)he's now "going to run the Post Office?" Or should (s)he have handed out disability checks because (s)he's now "going to run the Social Security Admininstration?" Or should (s)he have also done tax returns because (s)he's now "going to run the IRS?"

In fact, it's nothing at all like going to an engineer and tell him how to build a bridge. On the other hand, it may be more like being CEO of a construction company and deciding which bridge building projects your company has the ability and desire to pursue. And one does not need to be an engineer to do that.
