He’s another plus athlete. Saints are clearly prioritizing that.

Underhill wasn't joking when he said the Saints put a lot of stock in the RAS and have only drafted 1 player < 9 RAS in the first since Ireland arrived. Now, Turner and Werner are both over 9. If fans want to zero in on players they may be interested the rest of the draft and going forward, just look for guys over a 9 RAS and that will narrow ththr field.

Whats RAS ?

How may of us thought a guy named Alvin Kamara was going to be what he is?! Have some faith in the scouting department and overall team administration. They are a model franchise since Loomis has taken over. Let them do their jobs!

Kinda hard to not be critical of the FO picks when it comes to LB especially when LSU has been cranking them out and we been starving for one. Its been Demario & associates, but no consistent partner that can get his name on the sign.

Hate it but time will time we don’t have a good history with drafting LBs

Lately. We did draft Rickey Jackson and didn't we draft Pat Swilling? Sam Mills was from the Canadian league I believe and we also got Vaughan Johnson. Obviously that was a long while ago but you said history so I had to bring up the dome patrol.

This is kind of weird draft not in bad way I think it's just first time we had consistency on defensive side as far as coaching and scheme in sp era. the saints entire draft seems concise to how we been playing defensive scheme, and I feel that's kind of new to saints fans. teams like ravens and Patriots picks always feel good cuz they fit the scheme they been playing for feels like forever now it seems like what we are trying to do the same. i think that's why it's harder for everyone to see. we play like a nickel cover 3 blitz scheme. A line backer with good instincts is needed over an athletic one, because guessing wrong or over committing leaves huge wholes but if we switch schemes year after year as we been doing before dennis allen. the athletic pick is always safer since they can adjust faster. I feel both sides of the argument during this draft.
That would mean the fans are in shock and that's not a valid excuse to me. Supposedly everyone on here loves Ireland but when we actually use his recommendations people flip out because it didn't fit their narrative. Unless you are a scout no one on here knows better than the people that are getting paid for it. I did say earlier that if you watch college ball and seen a certain player or even watch highlight films then you can disagree with a pick but to suggest that a player would've been available later is laughable to me.

Yeah, we have a lot of fans that have turned into Aaron Rodgers or we can call them Aarons for short.

Definition of an Aaron Rodgers: Enjoys success, but complains about everything and if he doesn't get his way threatens to take his ball and go home. Biggest indicator of an Aaron Rodgers, unsolicited and unwarranted complaining.

I like the pick, he's durable and versatile.
