Taquan clone. Great pick in 7th round.
TQS 2.0, researched him for a bit after the draft and came up with the same conclusion. He is nothing special and could have probably been gotten in the FA market, they should have drafted that guard from Grambling instead. Very disappointing draft to say the least.

NFL. Com, love this:
Overview
Under-the-radar wideout with explosive athleticism and experience to play inside or outside. Baker crushed his pro day with outstanding speed and leaping numbers to go with a huge set of hands. His 1.49-second 10-yard split verifies the tape, as Baker plays with electric acceleration that can help him race past press corners or take a short throw and turn it into a long touchdown. He's a fluid athlete with natural feet and is developing a feel for separation inside his routes, even though there is more work to do. His ball-tracking is solid, but his hands are very average. Baker hasn't seen pro-caliber cornerbacks, so an adjustment will be necessary, but he has the traits and talent to be considered one of the sleepers of this draft.
Strengths
  • Explosive athlete with rare initial burst.
  • Possesses NFL build with sturdy frame and 10.5-inch hands.
  • Ran 4.43-second 40-yard dash with 39.5-inch vertical jump at his pro day.
  • Talent and traits to play inside or outside.
  • Feet are nifty and sudden in press release.
  • Accelerates into early lead on go routes against press.
  • Adjusts path to the football with his ball-tracking.
  • Better feel for leverage and burst at the stem in 2020.
  • Can take a short throw deep on slants and crossers.

Just say no to atlanta players.☹
I've lived in the the greater Atlanta area for fourteen years now. If you only knew how grievously systemic their hatred for Louisiana is, you would be singing a different tune. They sure are.

He was born in Atlanta and went to high school in Norcross, which is suburban Atlanta.
Have we forgotten Jonathan Sullivan? Do you think he gave his all as a Saint. Every person in a hateful environment isn't prejudice. But this is not an isolated incident. It is just amazing ho no one from Louisiana believes it exists. Maybe you should consult some of the people who moved here after Katrina.

With any player you draft from this area you may have to deal with this baggage. Maybe he came from a loving family or maybe he came from one who taught him to hate and fear anyone from Louisiana. I see it every day especially when I wear Saints parrafinsllia.

Are you suggesting that guys that spend years training pretty much all of their life to become professional athletes are throwing away their career and potentially millions of dollars by tanking because they were drafted by a team that may have been a rival to their local team when they were kids?

Do you think he gave his all as a Saint.
I think he gave his all to every buffet he met.

Kaawan Baker- WR, 6'1"/210#, 4.44-40, Vertical- 39.5", Bench Press-21 Reps, 10-Yd. Split- 1.49, Shuttle- 4.41, 3-Cone-7.42, Broad Jump- 10'9".

Baker is a WR with explosiveness and athleticism and experience to play inside or outside. His acceleration helps him beat press coverage CB's and he can take a short throw and turn it into a big gain or take it to the house. He's smooth and fluid in his route running and has solid ball tracking skills. He accelerates into early lead on go routes against press coverage and adjusts to the football with his ball tracking skills.

He doesn't look as confident when he is working against zone defenses. He needs to become a little more physical at the top of his routes. One thing I noticed is his hands need to be more consistent, he's a little slow with his hands getting ready to make a catch underneath.

I believe has that speed factor we've been looking for in a WR. I could see him as a big slot WR with his size and speed and he could be a mismatch in the nickel. I also believe Coach Curtis Johnson can make Baker a better and more consistent WR, just like he did with Devery Henderson. Baker was a good value pick in the 7th round.
