Police Shootings / Possible Abuse Threads [merged] (10 Viewers)

Well we had a disagreement about that incident last year with the female being tased and charged with trespassing at a football game, high school I think. I really haven’t talked with him then. He fell in line with the typical police view of happenings in America so I’m not surprised.
 
Yeah, need to see more accountability like this. In the past, officers would get reassigned or transferred, not fired.
Only problem... How soon before they are hired by another department? The cop who punched the kid is supposedly under investigation for an in-custody death with another police department.

They (law enforcement departments) have to make it to where any officer fired is ineligible to transfer or get hired in any other law enforcement capacity.
 
I saw this movie this morning on HBO:



I didn't even know it existed previously. I thought it was really interesting and apparently San Antonio is way ahead of the rest of the country in dealing with mental health cases, trying to help people instead of just treating them like perps.
