Nope, not entirely true. We ran the ball a ton in the 1st half of the Bills, Jets, Rams, 1st Bucs game, in fact we had more rushing than passing yards against the Bills (the game where PT went crazy) and almost an equal amount in 3 other games.

I agree that much of the season the pass opened up the run, but not the whole season. I think SP realized that Evans and Nicks were destroying people up front and did run first to set up the pass more often than most realize....

We won the SB that year because we had great balance.
This all day. I miss Nicks and Evans so much.

I think he was definitely our best pick. We shall see.
I think he definitely has the highest ceiling of any of the Saints picks. If he gets right, and the coaching and scheme “clicks” for him, he could be a legit shut-down CB... the talent is there!

I think Werner was the safest pick and has the highest floor... he may never be Luke Keuchly, but if he can be a healthier Sean Lee or a Fred Warner clone, that would be allsome.

Turner was the riskiest pick... primarily based on where he was taken.

Kawaan Baker is the Wild Card... He could be released at final cuts and not even make the PS... or, he could become Kawaan Baker the touchdown maker!

I like him too! Big corner with good speed and athleticism. Like many big corners, he may get too upright at times. However, wat I really like is his 18 reps on the bench n 10 in hands! So get him to stay low, and maximize his upper body strength n hand usage. And we got some pretty good “teaching coaches”.

So IF he can stay healthy, is attentive n learns, I think he has the potential to b a pretty damned good NFL CB!

Fingers crossed!

We’ll see.

I hope you’re right on Adebo Baker and Werner. I just don’t see anything at all special about Werner, hope to be proven wrong.

I wouldn’t say that it was irrational. Adebo was coming off of an injury the previous season.

Given the shortened camps and unknowns of when mandatory quarantines could have been imposed, player injuries went way up last year. It’s likely he didn’t sit out because of fear of catching Covid. It’s more likely he sat out to give himself time to heal properly and not risk an injury that could keep him out of the NFL.
Makes sense, smart thing to do.

There is nothing irrational about Covid 19. Just ask about 1.2 billion Indians. Remember when Covid was "just a China thing?" There is nothing irrational at all.

Never said there was, but football players are in no danger.

Fearful or panicky players are a red flag, but I understand the kid opted out because of injury. That's just smart.

Are you saying football players aren’t at risk to get Covid? I’m confused
