What you watching? - Quarantine Edition (7 Viewers)

just started Snowpiercer (series) - enjoy the premise, i just hope they get more subtle/less hamfisted about their societal politics
- i want that story there, just more BBC than CW

i liked the movie. series? not so much. it doesn't get better.

Finished S2 of For All Mankind last night. What a great show.

Also if you do dust it off, watch Snowfall.
So, I started watching Snowfall this past weekend. I'm really enjoying it so far - thanks for the rec!

I'm through season 2 so far (a few very late nights/early mornings last weekend) and there is one thing that's kind of driving me crazy. I think the writing has been really good, I love the character development, but...the choice by the writer to make the audience infer what happens in key plot moments and not showing it is a ridiculous approach. For example, the plane crash, like, where did that come from and how did it happen? There are a few other times along those lines that happened, but I don't want to mention them because of spoilers and all that. I honestly thought my stream was skipping scenes.

There are also two things that I can't unsee. Season 1 Teddy/Reed looks exactly like Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley). And, Franklin's uncle's character must have been based on Leonard from this skit. I swear they're identical:

:hihi:

just finished watching better call saul season 5 (had to re-watch episodes 4-7) and i totally understand why i love bcs.

there is no anna gunn. right, @guidomerkinsrules ?
I watched the movie 'Nobody' last night starring Saul/Jimmy and Doc Brown from Back to the Future. I liked it.

Finished s1 of SnowPiercer
It kind of reminded me of some of the earlier TWD seasons- very compelling plot and storylines, sone strong actors, but some coked up writing that just couldn’t get out of its own way

Wow, that's pretty much unheard of for a triple crown race right?

So i dont know the whole story, but apparently he was purchased as a yearling for $1,000... then he was sold again for $35k, at a juncture in his development where most KY Derby winners sell in the millions of dollars... So yeah, totally unheard of... “The little horse that could”

I thought so. Crazy.

Mare of Easttown
REALLY good
Feels way more like a BBC detective show than an American one
In fact take the lead in Happy Valley, have her investigate the first Broadchurch case, set it in a dying Pennsylvania town and you pretty much gave the show
Stellar cast
