I agree that there is always some risk with taking a vaccine but I have seen the "You can't sue Pfizer so they must be hiding something" talking point used to downplay/discourage use of the vaccines and it is pretty much a red herring IMO.

Personally I believe it is well established that the risks from COVID (both to individuals but especially to the greater population) are much greater than the risks from vaccines - I think that's pretty much true for almost everyone outside of a narrow band who have compromised immune systems, specific allergies, etc.
I agree with this.

Also, there are options beyond suing the pharma companies.

If you use the LA Wallet app, there's now an option to let it pull in your vaccination status from LA Department of Health. I just updated my app and hit allow, real easy.

My app did not show and update and didn't have the COVID tab, but I deleted the app and re-installed it and the COVID tab was there. I also had to have it search for my status twice, but if worked on the second try.

So had the second shot yesterday afternoon. Like others I found it hard to sleep last night, just restless. About 3am I had a headache and the chills so I took Tylenol. Today I’m really lazy (perhaps due to poor sleep or both) and a bit of joint aches. All in all, very mild and if I’m good to go tomorrow, then I’d say it was really not much at all for me. Oh, and I’m freakin’ thirsty.

A comment on the discussion about vaccine “risk” - one thing to consider is we now have 150M doses administered in the US during the EUA. That’s an absolutely massive, unprecedented data set. And all indicators are that the vaccine is very safe as vaccines go - incidence of severe adverse reaction is very low. It’s always possible that there are latent adverse implications but the growing body of evidence of long-term impact of a bout with Covid even for younger people, seem to point well in favor of vaccine (even disregarding the public health aspects and variant protection, which are compelling).

I'm not seeing the Covid tab on mine. Uninstalled and reinstalled, but still nothing.

This feels so big brother, but I did it also.

I mean I get it, but none of it is information no one didn't already have. It's vaccine data the department of health has, that's already tied to you, and you're already tied to your driver's license.

I had mine Monday and that was my exact reaction -- waking up at 3am feeling sheetty and dehydrated, and then feeling achy and sluggish all day yesterday. But I'm fine today!

If you have a smart phone like 99% of the population, the government can track you. It wasn't created for devious means. If you were in need of help, texting 911 would tell emergency personnel where you are located. Please embrace the beauty of new science .

Got my second Pfizer shot this afternoon, so now it's just a two-week wait until it fully kicks in.

Keeping myself hydrated with some high-quality H2O and I have a few Gatorade Zeros as well. I feel a little lightheaded and I'm starting to feel lethargic, but that's about it so far.

I took off from work tomorrow just in case, but I'll work if I'm up to it since I'm still working from home anyway.

We had basically the same experience - I woke up today good to go. No lingering effects whatsoever after my achy, lazy day yesterday.

Interestingly, I have almost zero arm soreness today. When I got my second shot, I said to the clinician “wow I didn’t feel that one much at all.” It was a way lighter poke than my first, and also higher up on my arm. I mentioned to my wife that night that I barely felt it.

Now two days later, it’s almost weird how not sore my arm is - like virtually no soreness. Makes me wonder if the person who gave me the shot was just really good.
