I think you took what I was saying as being in support of McCain in the race... he is a damn good person but I don't think I could vote for him as president either.

If McCain was alittle more agressive in his politics then he would be one of the best presidents we have had in a long time...

and ZuLu, if I could have served in the military I would have been right on the side of my brothers,cousins,uncles, and freinds that are currently in the military.

If you're not going to vote for McCain, then it would appear you won't be voting for a veteran considering that none of the other viable candidates have military experience.

I still have no idea who I want to vote for... Obama could still get a vote from me, but it's not looking good for him on my end at the moment, it could all change tho who knows.

I suspect that most of your family and friends would've appreciated the sensibilities of Obama, in lieu of being shipped off to Iraq, Nam, and a slew of other senseless conflicts that the war hawks and profiteers have engaged our troops in. Obama wouldn't be "running" the military. You must admit that he is in support of our troops receiving the best equipment, benefits, and care upon their return possible, despite his abhorrence of our campaign in the Middle East.

McCain's experience as a POW, and witnessing the horrors of war firsthand may sway his opinions and policies in ways that you wouldn't expect. Well, if he ever had a chance to show his hand in the White House....

Yes I do admit that Obama supports the troops 1000%, but he still has no clue about what the soliders do go through just like I do not know the feelings a solider experiences in the time of war, and any other for that matter during their career's in the military.

and I do believe McCain supported the same exact thing for the troops also? I could be wrong on that, but if I remember correctly he was in support of the troops on the same matters.
I just think Obama has alot of visions that could lead to a backfire in his face, that is all...

my main concern in this election is the war and our troops, but what if we do pull out of Iraq and the country turns unstable again? do we have to go back and do the same exact thing over again because this happened on our watch and pretty much the only ones willing to go back and help them get the country back in control? Our Government is very close to getting the country back on the right path that it was when we got there, minus Sadam. But once the country gets stable, we still can't leave untill it is stable on a constant basis, and producing in the same manner it was, IMO that is due to the Iraqi's that had to endure this.

I wasn't talking about Obama fighting in war, I was talking about Obama taking time to goto Iraq and walk through Iraq with the soliders and meet and greet Iraqi's and spend money there to help out the country, now If there was a video of Obama doing that I would like the guy more. I was just trying to be a smartelic bout the video because of the bashing of McCain who made a mistake in the video.

I'm confident that Obama would quell your qualms about a President's relationship with his troops, along with taking the needs of the people of Iraq into account, if given an opportunity.

It soon became apparent that Iraq may not ever be a single sovereign nation again. I'm hoping the different factions will be able to compromise a settlement, in order for us to maintain a minimal presence with a relatively friendly oil producing state. I don't see a total withdrawal from what was Iraq until we can drastically reduce our dependence on this region. Then, they can get back to doing what they've been doing since man figured out how to throw rocks. We also have the nuclear issue at hand, so we'll need to regain the global support that Bush ****** away with his heavy handed tactics

I liked McCain before he bent over for G. Bush in hopes of getting the nomination this time around. But, as far as a Republican candidate goes, he's better than the rest. And he will always be a hero for his service for our nation.

His Grandfather was an Admiral. His father was CINPAC. I think it's only natural that he be elected President. His son recently joined the Marines I think. Eventually we will name him Supreme Leader of Earth.
