2020 UEFA European Championship (June 11 - July 11, 2021) (2 Viewers)

I don’t know if this is right or not, but this is what I feel I’ve seen from many of the 2nd tier teams in the tourney - instead of pressing man v man advantage, players pass off looking for the perfect assist
And almost always it’s thwarted!

take the shot!
You either make it, get a corner, set up a teammate for a rebound - and at the very least your team has time to reset on D
So the first Belgian goal was the inverse of this
I think the 2nd tier teams should take the shot that Lukaku passed out of (obviously it was the right decision by RL)

ouch...stinger taken off forehead only to have that headed down to bounce up and hit him in the family jewels.

and this is why i love watching National teams play.

There is usually a player or 3 that you really dont know/see all that much due to playing in a lower level or league that isnt one of the main 3 and they simply show out at the tourney.

Dumfries for the Dutch has been great coming up the wing from his right back position and has 2 goals for it.

Ok the keepers are coming to life in this SWE/SLVK game

the swede trying to lay-up vs taking the shot on the breakaway is exactly what i've been banging on about

yep decision making. Trying to be too "perfect" - take the dang shot.

Soon as he pulled it sideways, the shot was off table and it aided the recovering defenders to get in position to take shot/pass away. One touch too many.
