Cup race in Poconos round 2, let's go!

Oh, and inverted grid is pretty great. Should be a mess, lol.

I’m P'Oed. I had C Bell in the pickem and he was top 5 all day until Chastain and Chase tried to pass him low and couldn’t hold their lines, wth??

Yeah, sucks for Bell. He was running good all race. Those cars that ran out of gas at the end was kinda funny. I can't remember ever seeing that many fall just short. No cautions those last 20 laps was the difference.

I thought Bowman was gonna pull it off again on the last restart, but he was one of those who didn't have enough fuel to get to the finish.

Bubba finally got himself a top 5 finish. To little too late for a playoff spot unless he wins a race. They're getting closer, maybe next season he'll get in the winners circle.

Snakebit weekend for me. I bet three drivers to win every race at our sports book. Saturday I had Larson and was counting that money before the last lap flat tire. Yesterday with 3 laps to go, my drivers were comfortably running first (Byron), second (Hamlin) and fourth (Larson). Once again I was counting my money before both Byron and Hamlin ran out of gas.
I have a friend from Truk Island who has a saying that I should have been thinking about instead of that money. He always says "Don't Be Counting No Chickens Before They Be Hatching". Oh well, the races were entertaining even without the wagers paying off.

Pocono has always been notorious for drivers running out of gas. Harry Gant won the spring race in 1990. He didn't have enough gas left to take a victory lap.

Yeah, very frequently a mileage race. Probably the first non-road course where short-pitting became a primary strategy.

Yeah, it definitely made the races this weekend that much more interesting. Poconos is an interesting track. 3 turns and they're all a little different.

Indeed. They used to shift there! And for a while they had clutchless shifting there.

Yeah, crazy that KB won with just 4th gear. Of course, he got lucky with Hamlin, Larson and Byron all needing a splash to get to the finish. For all the hate he gets, some of it well-deserved, he still wins races.
