The biggest loser the next couple weeks is our dog. Camp ground requires all dogs on a leash at all times. I get it but ourdog is not a leash dog.....he doesn't need one. He always stays right with us and is definitely and audible command dog. If I tell him to stay he stays. There are 2 dog parks here so he'll be able to run in there and when we go to the actual beach he'll be able to run off leash. The rest of the time he's on a leash though.

I know how it is

I had to board mine for the trip I just took to San Antonio. Dropped them off Thursday afternoon and picked them up today. I have never had to board my dogs before but this place was really good. The worst thing they had was a 4x6 doggy suite with a door to the outside. Still felt guilty tho

Our St Bernard has never made this trip....we board him every year. He's just too big to travel with. He's also not near as smart as the Aussie. He actually loves going to the kennel and they love having him....plus we spend about $1000 on boarding fees every year. The do kennel him at night but during the day they just let him roam around. He just lays and sleeps most of the time. He's also the most gentle dog I've ever had with other pets. He doesn't have a bad bone in his body.

Another observation......I love a trip that goes hassle free. I lose sleep prior to every trip worried about towing and traffic. I spend a ton of time on maintenance of my vehicles just trying to limit issues and while I can control some of it there's just some things that I can't control. Today's trip was smooth as glass.....I love those. They don't always work out like that and I'm still 11 hours from home so I have the return trip to worry about but in the meant time I'm going to enjoy the victory of making it out here issue and traffic free.

Don't have experience with them, but I know St. Bernards have a reputation as very gentle companions

Glad yours went well

I can't remember the last time I drove into Texas and there wasn't construction being done on the majority of I10 between the border and Houston. Freaking ridiculous...there is no way they could be working on that much at once.

And then those narrow cattle chutes that used to be interstates cause more wrecks as evidenced by the one that completely shut down I10 on my way back that forced everyone to go to Port Arthur

He's been the perfect guard dog for us. At the end of the day I don't want a dog that bites people....or rather I have to worry about biting people. I want a dog that looks like he's going to tear a stranger limb from limb and he does that. When someone pulls in the drive his hair stands up and you'd think he's about to go full Cujo but he's the furthest from that. He's such a gentle dog. Especially with other animals. We've brought several small cats into our home since he's around and it's amazing how tolerant and gentle he is with kittens. I have a pic of one of our kittens standing in his food bowl eating while he was eating.....of course the kitten is completely covered in slobber haha.

No action in here tonight.

I am recovering from my road trip still

Relaxing with oxy, The Dalmore, and Delta8 while watching a movie from when I was 10 called Explorers with Ethan Hawke and River Phoenix

The past couple of times that I got drunk I didn't really talk on here. I don't use the internet on my phone except to use certain apps so that means no saintsreport.com on my phone.

That almost made sense but thinking is hard right now
