Well, sheet.

And now I can stop checking my phones and email until the next drawing. This isn't one of those where if they can't get in touch with you, they give it to the next pick, is it? Bad dream scenario.
L.A. County will require masks indoors amid alarming rise in coronavirus cases

California back to mandatory masks inside
Great. So that means I'll need to wear makeup while I'm cutting the grass? They just pop up like that? Now I need to go find the videos. I've already figured out how to spend the $$$.You'll know before anyone else. They videoed the reactions. I don't think it was done today. I think they just announced it today.
"I want to be clear after seeing what I've seen the past two weeks," O'Neal said. "We only have two choices: we are either going to get vaccinated and end the pandemic. Or we are going to accept death. A lot of it, this surge, and another surge, and possibly another variant."
She said that Our Lady of the Lake is being quickly overwhelmed by the latest surge of patients, who are different from those who got sick with the coronavirus last summer. While last summer's virus was not particularly infectious among children, the delta variant is, she said. And while pregnant women were better able to protect themselves last summer, more and more of them are being admitted to the hospitals this spring.
For the unvaccinated, it's like letting a burglar cross all the way through your threshold, all the way into your bedroom and wake you up from sleep before you know it's there," O'Neal said. "Delta variant is sneaky, it's a beast and it has figured out why you are no longer that person who's going to be fine. It's killing us."
Must be nice to be.eligible. we all have the vaccine, but because my wife works for the lottery, most of my family is ineligible..New Orleans 80-year-old, Hammond teen named winners of first COVID-19 lottery drawing
Well, sheet.
39% of Louisiana statewide is vaccinated, just so unacceptable.
First Amendment says no?This might be a dumb question and beating a dead horse but is there anyway charges can be brought to these evangelists and minister’s that are preaching the vaccine is inserting Satan in your blood kind of stuff?
Unfortunately my parents and uncles fall into this category.
Last year when the hurricane hit, we all got infected. First it was my mom, followed by me and my dad and uncle all at the same time. I suspect she gave it to the rest of us. But when you are clearing debris you don't really think about staying 6 feet part etc.
My mom was mostly asymptomatic. Got sick a few days and then nothing. My dad got sick and was experiencing symptoms for about two weeks. As for me, I had it the worst. I was essentially in bed for about a month. I couldn't do much, I was so tired all the time. Brain fog was thick. I had to learn a new way to sleep because laying flat on my back was very uncomfortable. But the worst was the coughing. I could not stop coughing. I'm convinced that did some long term damage because almost a year later, I am not like I was before I got sick. I still get tired pretty easily. I easily forget things etc.
What I didn't expect was the nightmares. I was having frequent nightmares about getting sick again.
When I had the opportunity to get vaccinated I jumped at the chance. The nightmares went away, but I still would wear a mask when out in public because I knew I wasn't bulletproof.
I've tried to urge them to get vaccinated but "we don't know how it will affect a person" is the main excuse. Or they also say even vaccinated people can still get infected. I tried the "seat belts aren't 100% guaranteed either" but of course that didn't work.
Fast forward to this month. they are going to my brother's house in NC. And they are bringing his kids back for a couple weeks. They will be driving there so going to be lots of stops in Alabama and Mississippi (two states that also don't mask and are in low digit vaccination rates). The kids are both under 11. I am fearful for them because my parents have been completely irresponsible (in my opinion). Bragging about how packed their bible study is (I know they don't wear masks or social distance in there) and going into stores and gas stations without masks. Going to parties where nobody masks and nobody stays 6 feet apart. At this point I am trying to mentally prepare myself that maybe both will die if they get the Delta variant.
I tried to talk to them about my concerns.
I worry about my brother's kids, and them getting infected by my parent's lack of mindfulness.
This doesn't change anything.
The only reply I get is "we refuse to put our life on hold" I even pushed one day and said "what if you get sick and you infect them and they die" and basically got a shrug in response.
I am reluctant to get involved any more, because it isn't going to change anything. I just don't understand how some people not only don't care about their own health and well-being, but are also not mindful in their actions which could potentially cause harm to other people.
Exactly...the problem isn’t vaccinated people not having enough vaccines...it’s unvaccinated people not have ANY vaccines. BTW...still in the process of replying to your prior request. It’s been a long tiring week.Agree there. There is currently no data that supports getting a third shot.
There may be some data supporting getting a booster if you had the J&J... but nothing yet.
I hear that. Ha.Exactly...the problem isn’t vaccinating people not having enough vaccines...it’s unvaccinated people not have ANY vaccines. BTW...still in the process of replying to your prior request. It’s been a long tiring week.
