Good morning Who Dats! Again, not expecting much today. The team just has meetings, etc. Their first practice is tomorrow and it is closed to the public. But any info that comes out today will be posted in here. Please play nice and try to keep the thread free from drama. ✌️

Was this seen yesterday?

He's not necessarily wrong, especially given the last few SB winners. Arguably a little more than half the last 10 SBs have been won by teams with elite QBs. But you could also argue that Flacco and Foles were playing at an elite level when their teams won. But that's just it, isn't it? Will the combination of whichever QB wins with the coaching of Payton help them to rise to an elite level, if only for a short time? It's not like there are elite QBs out there for the taking (granted, if Rodgers and/or Wilson hit the open market next year, that's a no-brainer unless, of course, Winston, Hill, or even Book somehow turn into something no-one is expecting).

It’s just strange to hear Mora emphasize that, and extrapolate that to mean the importance of offensive production, when that was his blindspot here, mired in his stubborn loyalty to Carl Smith.

He assembled one of the best defenses of the modern era and squandered that with an offense that was overly reliant on a strong-legged kicker.

And then he ended up in Indy, where he actually had a *special* QB, and, well…

I like Mora and appreciate that he was the first to bring relevance to this organization, but I’ll trust Payton to sort through the offensive side of things given a choice between the two opinions.

Looking back at the last ten+ Superbowl. The QB has to be playing at an elite level. The last time a QB had to be carried to a Superbowl win would have to be Big Ben in 2005.
