My opinion is always better to walk from a player a year too early than keep a year too long and that especially applies to RB's.

This is a good philosophy for great teams. we used to be one of those teams that picked those players up instead of letting them go.

Wow... We kept him over Jack Rabbit, Brown, or Sanders is an unfortunate error.

His cap savings isn't anywhere close to what was saved on those guys.

The Saints are saving 3.17M this year and 3.45M next year with this move.

I can see them re-signing Freeman after week 1....or maybe poaching someone like Devine Ozigbo from the Jaguars. Ozigbo played well when we went to camp with the Saints. I was surprised and disappointed they let him get away.

And they gave him an opportunity to take a pay cut and he refused. If he's got something left, he'll get a deal with another team. If not, he probably should have taken the pay cut.

You could see it coming once Tony Jones passed him. You can’t have a decreased role with the same cap hit. Just wish we would have knew sooner and maybe could have kept jackrabbit or sanders

If guys like Lev Bell, Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore are still free agents, then I don’t see Murray being signed by anyone anytime soon after refusing a pay cut. Can’t see how he signs with another team for the same salary paycut he was asked to take here, plus showing decline at 31 years old.

Not surprised by this move, although I assumed it would be sooner. SP even said that TJJ was the backup. Murray should be on another team by next week.

Ravens are auditioning Freeman and LeVeon Bell. All things being even, I'd have to think Latavius is a better option. Maybe it was a principle thing with the Saints. He's probably upset they waited until the 53 man rosters were set. As a result, at this juncture, maybe he won't take less money from us but would from someone else. We shall see.

I think a trade is coming. A wide receiver or even another running back.

I very much doubt we’re after a running back. We can find those pretty easily. I’m thinking WR, CB, and my wildcard is a DT.

He was good for us and I wish him well. He just didn't seem to have any juice this preseason. It will be nice to have some young fresh legs to replace him but we're going to have to take the good with the bad. We could see some explosive runs followed by a horrible missed assignment in pass pro.

I wonder how the touches are going to be distributed now. Last season the overall touches were around 60-40 but the carries were pretty even. If AK's carries go up then we're looking at closer to a 70-30 split.

Hopefully Tony Jones Jr can at least be serviceable in pass pro. I'd hate for our offense to go back to be being predictable based on which RB is in the game.
