He always has been.He was definitely money in the redzone
I was very impressed with his overall show of leadership and maturity. When Mccoy went out, JW2 took control, got a ball from a ref and took some snaps with the backup, then when he got back in the huddle you could see him waving his arms saying something directing the whole huddle, showing he had it. A complete 180 from the guy in TB.Man, he had an absolutely phenomenal post-game interview. When you are congratulating the equipment guy, you are definitely setting a humble tone.
Smart, gracious, really a class act. Never thought I would be saying it about Jameis WInston. Seemed absolutely Brees-ish.
Wow I was just thinking about that game and the soul crushing clock eating drives Drew used to run. This game reminded me.Winston was great today. Big yardage days can be misleading. How often does a QB throw for 350+ because he’s in a shootout or playing from behind? Something about this game reminded me of the Eagles game in 09. The Saints just did whatever they wanted to do all game long.
Winston played smart football today. He ran when he needed. He threw it away instead of forcing it and aired it out as needed. Just very impressive. His best game as a pro

Do we know what their average depth was? I would bet it is deeper than last year and going forward safeties may line up deeper. Also a result of how deep the Packer's safeties played
No disrespect to Drew either, but I can't remember a game where he was this efficient. The last few years there was always at least one dumb turnover. This game was flawless execution.Winston was great today. Big yardage days can be misleading. How often does a QB throw for 350+ because he’s in a shootout or playing from behind? Who thought that? This is a Sean Payton designed offense, we take shots down field but it's a west coast based system so the short intermediate passing game is the bread and butter mixed with a potent rushing game opens up the deep ball shots when called.
I can say and alot of people can agree though it's just one game you can't act like your weren't surprised by the lack of a passing attack today.
Yes, and just wait until Winston feels comfortable. I think he will settle in just fine. Right now, all he hears is about his last time in Tampa, 5000 yards plus 30+ interceptions, now replacing a legend....... Heck with all that. When Jameis settles down and has to stop answering the same stupid questions about the 30+ interceptions and what is it like coming after Drew.....this team will shine in a light like no other.People thought we were going to be this crazy run and shoot offense because of Winston but that’s not Payton and that’s not what we need from Winston. Dink and Dunk offense is boring but if run right you can dissect a D and rip their soul out. I said in another thread. Take what the D gives you, don’t turn the ball over and we’d be fine.
I’m just wondering is St. Greg is wondering how Taysom would have done.
