Gruden resigning [CLOSED] (1 Viewer)

To even attempt to create some kind of equivalency between some rap lyrics and what an NFL head coach said in his company emails is beyond mind bending. But honestly not surprising given some of the wild responses I've read in this thread alone.
To be totally truthful, none of these emails occurred while he was employed by the NFL

This is a very silly argument. We hold the highest standards in the Military, and hold even the lowest ranking Soldier to account on his behavior and honor. That has nothing ti do with artists and entertainment. We bring those very people, and worse to visit us on Bases and overseas, for the ones brave enough to come.

Artists and entertainment do not represent the businesses that bring them in, hires them to perform, and that is nationwide. Another false argument.
I think Gruden should sue the New York Times and the NFL for violating his 4th Amendment rights to privacy, but that's just me...

Also telling some of the same ones excusing Gruden’s behavior, calling this a witch hunt, etc are also asking to see pics of cheerleaders and such yet outraged at the rap halftime show (that they probably have already told all their friends they will NOT be watching & considering not watching anymore NFL games either.
Unless the Saints are playing i’m not watching the Super Bowl, because fork the NFL.

I’ll listen to Kendrick Lamar on my headphones, and watch the Puppy Bowl instead.

Some of yall better stop posting in BTL. YOU MIGHT LOSE YOUR JOBS AS WELL
If your company has a strict policy regarding using work computer to browse, post sites deemed "social" yes you can.

Same reason we have had to let people go for job hunting, posting resumes from their desk.

Oh man, will they be able to afford the commercials now?
So who do those artists represent? Do they represent the best in all of us?

I honestly don’t care if the NFL has NWA, Judas Priest, or Yanni up there performing at halftime (I enjoy Dre, Snoop, KL, and Eminem’s music), it just seems odd that they are cool with performers who lyrics aren’t much different from the guy they just went scorched earth on, but that’s just me.

Then again, the NFL was giving the Saints the death penalty for Bountygate and saying they were about safety, while at the same time showcasing the hardest hits every week on their very own Network.
You are just kinda rambling on, because you dont like people having to be held to account for their actions.

Time to mature.

Why? Did he not know that he was emailing on a company server? Oh, yeah.....he thought the GOOD OLE BOYS CLUB would withstand the 21st Century.

Surprise MF

You're wrong, none of these emails were sent while he was employed by the NFL, they were only uncovered during the WFT email dump for the other investigation
The emails cover several years. No viable business would want to be associated with the stuff he said. He'll be lucky to be a commentator at a little league football game at this point.

This is where it all goes off the rails. Good. Fire Gruden. His position was untenable. But the Bucs are going to remove his name from their ring of honor for saying ugly things in setting that was intended to be private while they continue honoring people who have done things that are undeniably worse.

There's no real rhyme or reason to it. In one context they're puritans, in another context they're libertines.
