Oh, they’re on their 4th anniversary of not watching because of kaepernickAlso telling some of the same ones excusing Gruden’s behavior, calling this a witch hunt, etc are also asking to see pics of cheerleaders and such yet outraged at the rap halftime show (that they probably have already told all their friends they will NOT be watching & considering not watching anymore NFL games either.
Stop while you can. This happens every time a situation like this occurs. No one wants to be publically affiliated with this. Yes, our world is filled with contradictions. This is where it all goes off the rails. Good. Fire Gruden. His position was untenable. But the Bucs are going to remove his name from their ring of honor for saying ugly things in setting that was intended to be private while they continue honoring people who have done things that are undeniably worse.
There's no real rhyme or reason to it. In one context they're puritans, in another context they're libertines.
I don't think anyone that knows anything about Warren Sapp would classify him as anything close to a "puritan". That being said, I dunno. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. They're just doing damage control at this point. They got a business to run and they made the call. If enough dust get kicked up over Sapp they might do they same for him. This is where it all goes off the rails. Good. Fire Gruden. His position was untenable. No one wants to be affiliated with ugly emails, but they'll be associated with sexual harassing, prostitute soliciting domestic abusers?Stop while you can. But also, it’s not. Yes, our world is filled with contradictions.
I mean, why stop with Gruden when there is a story that can dwarf the NFL season?Wow. Twitter is on Antonio Brown and TB.
I imagine Sean is not that much different from the others who listen to country music and vacation in IdahoLike Adder said....yall be better be careful of what you wishing for. You don't know who Sean is behind closed doors, especially having friends like Gruden.
If you didn’t “keep up with that sort of thing” then you wouldn’t have this anecdote to share with the class. This post is giving “i have a (insert minority) best friend” vibe. Not everyone of course. And as I have aged I really don't either. I have a bigger issue with stupidity at this stage of life.
To the poster saying I am telling on myself. Maybe you think I am a racist pig? I don't really have much to be afraid of saying. I have had my share of derogatory items thrown my way - from all angles - and to be sure I have thrown many back. But, you want find a more fairer person I like to think of myself. I make hiring decisions with annual salary starting in multiple 6 figures. My last two hires (one pending) have been based on the best candidate for the position. Highly qualified. Both of color, one female and one male. The fact I gave them a chance isn't the complete story. They worked hard to become qualified. The fact they are of color is great for those who keep up with that type of thing. I don't. It is stupidity I have no patience for. Unfortunate for me, I find lots of stupidity in the world. A bunch of emails of peoples private thoughts seem to be of great interest to many but I just say look in the mirror. Everyone has their true thoughts and opinions they don't like to publicly display.
I’ll drink to that.We all have different moral codes, I don't pretend to know squat about the law or any of that, but it seems that the NFL is a perfect reflecting pool of the soulless hypocrisy that is rampant in society. It's a bummer.
Or can’t afford to vacation in Idaho.I imagine Sean is not that much different from the others who listen to country music and vacation in Idaho
