I've been waiting for someone to mention how easily Thanos was beaten. I'm not sure how I feel about it.

Well, it's a What If... it was fine for the show, but certainly not close to the original timeline.

It was close. Thanos had 4 stones instead of 5. He even arrived in the same way but with 1 less stone in the glove.

I dunno, his abilities didn't feel close to similar tho. Or maybe it was just that Ultron was OP? Idk.

Sure, but that just felt so weird. No epic battle, no display that Thanos is a powerful, hard to kill big baddie. Just bzzzt...next! Pretty anticlimactic if you ask me.

Really no need to spend more time on him

Good point. I guess I was expecting something of a struggle to get the stones from Thanos, although there was a different kind of battle later in the show.

Well, there is the Eternals movie being released Nov 5th...but still, I agree!

I get the narrative and timing reasons for killing Thanos quick, but I still think it was a poor choice. They could have spent one minute and given us a much more satisfying scene.

• Thanos comes through.
• Ultron sees the other stones, "Interesting..."
• Thanos attacks.
• Cut ahead in time. Show massive devastation to indicate the battle has been long and hard. Ultron hovers over an exhausted and battered Thanos.
• Ultron, "Impressive. You have challenged me more than any others I've faced. I have concluded there is only one path to victory..."
• A single beam from Ultron through Thanos's skull.
• "...aim for the head."
