Dallas Goedert and Ertz trade discussions (1 Viewer)

I would let someone else break the bank for Goedert. Most teams are hurting at TE. I think a 7th for Ertz as a one year rental might make sense for us.

If he can stay healthy thats big for AZ
And the rich get richer.

I wouldn't have given up a player + a 5th for him though unless he's re-signing for a year or 2 on top of his existing deal.

I wonder since he played Thursday, is he eligible to play Sunday?? How would that impact fantasy leagues? OMG that's hilarious.

AZ making moves, Hopkins, AJ, and Ertz that's serious.

I know I'm in the minority, but until we get back some key players and actually learn where we are talent-wise as a team, I'd stand pat with Trautman and JJ. We also have Nick Vannett on IR. And now that AZ swooped in for Ertz, Philly will probably keep Goedert.

I mean the player they gave up was a 2021 6th rounder that was a practice squad guy, don’t think he’s ever been on the active roster, atleast no stats to show of. Essentially they traded a 5th and 6th rounder for Ertz. Definitely a win for Arizona, I would take that deal

The Saints have traded for several corners in the past few years including just a few weeks ago, but have not traded once for receiving help. That tells us everything we need to know on how they feel about that situation.

I mean…What the heck? Saints? Hello????
This won't be popular, but I don't think the Saints are Super Bowl contenders...and he's a 30 year old player.

If this were the Saints of the recent past (with Brees and a healthy solid cast of players ready to contend), trading for Ertz would have made a lot of sense. I really like the player and he was a guy I thought highly of (in terms of being a fit in New Orleans) in the past. This team has a lot of issues to resolve before they are back in a serious contention spot. Issues that go beyond one position.
