Saints open as a 5.5 point road favorite against Seattle (1 Viewer)

Last time we played, we got pressure on Russ but never got a sack. This is the type of game where the D-Line needs to dominate after watching what TJ Watt was able to do by himself. It's going to be a tough game being in Seattle but with some guys coming back it should help on both sides of the ball.

Not delving into any Xs and Os garnered from watching last night's game (that's something for my husband and you guys that pay more attention to that to go into), I'm not saying it's a pushover game but I didn't expect last night's game to be the overtime shootout that it was. And I'm wondering is that because Seattle is a better offense or Pittsburgh is a bad offense?

Ben is an old QB, Geno is younger but making his first starts in a long time. And when thinking of JW against the Seattle defense, I THINK I feel better than having an aging Ben. But who knows? And our defense? Yeah, I get good vibes.
Geno probably wasn't expecting to see a lot of playing time as a Seahawk because no one could foresee Wilson getting placed on IR. But now for at least the next 3 weeks he is Seattle's starting QB. While it's easy to say that Geno fumbled the game away last night, it's likely that the majority of starters would also have lost the ball with the hit that Watt provided to separate the ball from him.

All this means is that Geno will be even more prepared and protective than he was this past game. The Saints will still have to be ready to perform on the big stage next Monday night. I don't see Seattle rolling over and playing dead against us one bit.

That's absolutely the problem with the Seahawks. They coughed up the ball, IIRC, a couple times last night but also fought hard to get it back and fought hard to get that tie. I can hope we get out in front and put the game away before we're in a shootout, but I guess we can't count on it. Got to play all 4 quarters.

This should be the game where Cam Jordan finally records his first sack or two of the season, hopefully, since Geno's at QB

-3 was a steal vs Geno Smith. I wish I would've played it when that line was still there.

I can see Seattle potentially scoring garbage time points to cover the +5.5 and make a 10-11 point 4th quarter lead end as 4 points in the last seconds.

OBVIOUSLY, Geno got all the mistakes out of his system now, and will be playing flawless football next week!
