How did I miss this story? (Ahmaud Arbery shooting in Georgia)[MERGED] (2 Viewers)

The son got Malice Murder
Greg and other dude not guilty on malice murder. but Guilty on the "felony murder counts"

life sentences or death for any of those.

Maybe @superchuck500 can explain the Malice Murder thing for us (me)

so just looked up - Malice Murder is murder with "aforethought" - basically they INTENDED to kill the person-
Felony Murder- no expressed intent to kill initially, but commits another felony ( aggravated assault ) and the victim dies during the commission of that felony.

Makes sense, Thanks

So it's basically pre-meditated murder and the other felonies commited fall under felon Murder?

yeah the way i read it is jury felt Travis fully intended to kill Arbery. Greg and Bryan did not, but because they were involved in false imprisonment and aggravated assault, and the victim was killed, they get felony murder

How did they have so many aggravated murder charges?
ABC was just breaking it down.

Malice murder was on Travis because he pulled the trigger.

The additional felony murder charges are because the murder was committed during the process of multiple felony counts like kidnapping.

This is the second time in as many weeks I believe a jury came to the correct verdict based largely or entirely on the incident being recorded.

It really drives home why every police officer should be required to have body cams that can't be turned off.
