Does anyone know if an off duty police officer can carry their service weapon into the Dome during a game?

The State of Louisiana bans the possession of guns on the premises.

I'm not sure if there's any exceptions but thats all I saw on their homepage

I am not law enforcement I was asking for a friend. For those of you that do not know any law enforcement it is common practice that most of them always carry even when off duty. I know MLB makes an exception and allows off duty police to carry in games he was just not sure about NFL games.

With the security in an nfl stadium there is absolutely no need for anyone to carry a firearm in an nfl stadium. Crowd control for a situation as well managed as a stadium doesn’t need a firearm, and I can’t think of a reason one would need to be used. There is no reason to consistently up the potential of violence and such in every situation.

Or you could be like my home state of Montana where it’s perfectly legal for any idiot in the world to carry a loaded weapon into a bar.

My cousin who did security at the super bowl as a plain clothes Marine the year of 9/11 wasn’t armed. Why should this even be a discussion?
