Taysom was FAR from perfect last night but at least I felt like we had a chance, which was different from the last few weeks. Once Payton showed that he would let Taysom run the ball, I felt like we had something.

Busting up his finger didn't help his cause, but I admire the toughness.

I don't know if Taysom Hill is the answer so to speak, but give the guy a a couple WRs who can catch the ball and we might win a few games.

Another loss on the books is deflating and the turnovers were hard to watch...but one of those was miraculous (and questionable), another was tipped at the line, and a third was a fluke by a Defensive lineman. The one I think was squarely on Taysom was the pass into cover 2 with the biggest ball hawk in the league waiting.

I'm on team Taysom for the rest of the year. At least until next week! šŸ˜†

Edit - For the haters/doubters/realists/negative big mads:
THIS IS NOT YOUR THREAD. There are plenty of hateraid threads for you to go whine in. GET OUT, KEEP MOVING.

I support my team and I also support outside the box ideas. Taysom Hill is outside the box.

The silver lining to those 4 interceptions? With the Hill homers now saying, "I'm not worried about the interceptions, Payton can fix that", we no longer have to hear them use interceptions against Winston.

We may be turning the corner on this forum. Praise Jesus.

I know right, these are the same guys that treated "almost" INTs by JW as benchable offenses...or heaven forbid he threw the ball instead of taking off on a scramble. ANYBODY SEEN THOSE GOAL POSTS?!?!?

Enh, I kind of agree, but thatā€™s because this season is shot at this point. Heā€™s an exciting runner but the ball security issues are a killer.

Given what weā€™ve seen and what the options look to be in the off-season, my preference then is for the team to commit to building around Winston. Add size and speed to the offense with receivers who work well in the intermediate and deep game. Make the most of Winstonā€™s strong arm and deep ball accuracy.

The thing with the take-off-and-run stuff: Defenses can counter that. Since Hill can't make defenses pay for selling out to stop the run, opponents can take a defender out of coverage and just use him to spy Taysom.

On top of that, latter-day Gregg-Williams types will be happy to command their charges to take shots at Hill when he bails. "When he's past the line of scrimmage ... tee off!" Opponents are aware that Hill has been concussed once this season and missed multiple weeks. They don't have to go dirty, just hard.

Forgive me if I am not excited:

Jameis Winston as QB 14TDS to 3INTs for the season - Prove it deals.

Taysom Hill as QB 2TDs to 5INTs Why is Taysom the highest paid QB on the roster, and signed mid Season to a new contract 10 mill a yr.

Tervor Siemian as QB 9TDs to 3INTs for the season - Prove it deals.

I think its fair to phrase it that he ONLY threw 4 INTs. It probably shouldve been 6.

It was the decisions more than the finger in most situations. But yeah, he gives us our best chance to win the rest of this season. He also gives us our best chance to lose. We dont have a choice but to roll with him, and by the end of it maybe this whole TH is a QB thing will run its course and he can focus on doing what he is good at.

I agree. We were in the game until the last 7 minutes.

let's be real, if he doesn't hurt his finger and have to wear a splint on his throwing hand, he doesn't throw 4 pics.

Hill gives us our best chance to win, haters can kick rocks
He didnā€™t give them
Much chance last night
