I've never been more excited about a QB who threw 4 picks (1 Viewer)

What game did you watch?

He was the whole offense.

The one where he almost threw 6 INTs, made some terrible decisions. He kept us in the game with his legs. He kept us in the game playing the Joker. He lost us the game playing QB.

I dont understand why we cant all see he isnt a every down NFL starting QB, but he is absolutely an impact player in the joker role. It just seems we need to separate the 2 after this season. But for now, he needs to play out this season as the QB.

There were 2 series to open up the 2nd half where we ran the ball at will till about the 20ish yard line, and then Payton decided to start passing on both drives, and it killed both. If Hill is going to play this season out, Payton needs to a play smash mouth, win in the trenches, war of attrition type offense where you just keep pounding the ball until the defense loses its will at some point in the game.

I agree. We were in the game until the last 7 minutes.

let's be real, if he doesn't hurt his finger and have to wear a splint on his throwing hand, he doesn't throw 4 pics.

Hill gives us our best chance to win, haters can kick rocks
Really?! LOL....just asinine!!! It was the splint, STOP THE EXCUSES!!!

That’s not really saying much though. Taysom buried any chance this team had with the mistakes he made, which were many.

The defense had a few breakdowns but only giving up 20 points to a talented and capable offense was doing their part to set the Saints up for the win. They did a good job of getting off the field and getting the ball back to the offense, only to see that result in turnover after turnover with the game on the line.

THIS! If Marshon Lattimore can say; "We're going to continue to fight!"? Then I'm right there. with him! TH had to come back! He was concussed, bad wheel (? WOW) and then hit his finger on some on rusher's finger! Then he takes over the game himself, a few bad calls which can rattle a guy who hasn't even practiced @ QB since Camp! No protection and WHERE was Ingram last night? He's not 100% either.......These extra days off should prove to be important! Run the table SAINTS and let's see where the chips fall, WITH Taysom Hill~! All is coachable!

Forgive me if I am not excited:

Jameis Winston as QB 14TDS to 3INTs for the season - Prove it deals.

Taysom Hill as QB 2TDs to 5INTs Why is Taysom the highest paid QB on the roster, and signed mid Season to a new contract 10 mill a yr.

Tervor Siemian as QB 9TDs to 3INTs for the season - Prove it deals.
Said it earlier in the year, and I still mean it. I'm not grading any of our QBs too harsh this season. And we all know the reasons.

I will say that taysom did not do well last night throwing the ball. But there's plenty of reasons behind that, including his finger. My questions why didn't SP put Siemian in if that finger was effecting Taysoms ability to throw?

does he ever lead the runner when throwing the ball? there was some throws that were spot on where the receiver stopped and turned, but anytime he was throwing to a receiver in stride it was terrible. we need him doing his other skills, thats how he is valuable to this team, not playing QB.

It was the decisions more than the finger. I get the finger didnt help. But I will say this and Im not being facetious, but Hill has the worst pocket presence I have ever seen. He truly does. He has no sense of the pocket, moving around in the pocket to create lanes, feeling the defense. His awareness in the pocket is virtually 0.

His anticipation throwing to his receivers isnt good either. He cant throw a receiver open, or lead a receiver thats already open.

Brees was an absolute MASTER at those things. Footwork in the pocket is I think what made Brees. Thats what guys needs to study. No one else did it like him.

Hopefully this dispels the notion of Hill being a viable NFL quarterback. His delivery is slow, he throws behind and short on many of his targets. He did improve by looking at more than 1/2 the field but his QB skills are not starting QB caliber. What makes him special is his running ability with the fear, the hint, the uncertainty of him unleashing one downfield. His four pick performance could have been much worse. He is not the answer, Sorry.

Taysom was FAR from perfect last night but at least I felt like we had a chance, which was different from the last few weeks. Once Payton showed that he would let Taysom run the ball, I felt like we had something.

Busting up his finger didn't help his cause, but I admire the toughness.

I don't know if Taysom Hill is the answer so to speak, but give the guy a a couple WRs who can catch the ball and we might win a few games.

Another loss on the books is deflating and the turnovers were hard to watch...but one of those was miraculous (and questionable), another was tipped at the line, and a third was a fluke by a Defensive lineman. The one I think was squarely on Taysom was the pass into cover 2 with the biggest ball hawk in the league waiting.

I'm on team Taysom for the rest of the year. At least until next week! 😆

It was exciting and he provided a great spark. He's truly an exceptional athlete and I'm going to give him a pass on some of that for the nerves, the injury and bad luck. I'll expect him to be much better next week.

I've never seen a guy acting like a QB jump over a defensive player like that. He did make some nice throws early but Trevor is a better decision-maker than Taysom by a mile. Hill may be the most inexperienced starting QB in the league right now outside of rooks. That said, I expect Sean to double down and do it again.

When you are desperate you do desperate things. No injury and some tackles may have led to a different outcome and win or lose it was a whole lot more satisfying than Siemien so what the hell? Roll the dice and next year we'll have Winston as QB and Hill as the freak he is and all will be right in the world.

Wow, the Taysom love is strong in this post lol. I didn’t feel at any point that we had a better chance with Taysom at winning the game. Sean Payton didn’t start letting him run with the football until his finger was hurt and he had no choice. He should’ve been running Taysom heavily from the beginning of the game as that is the only thing that separates him from Semien.

This season is a train wreck so I don't see how it really matters if he starts or not the rest of the way. Taysom Siemian, Trevor Hill, potato, tomato.

But after this season, I never want to see Taysom Hill playing quarterback for the Saints ever again. Siemian either for that matter. We've seen enough.
