Now that the season is over now is the time to address some glaring weakness in the off-season. My top 5 needs other than QB:
1. OT (injuries/availability, salary cap. We need starter talent)
2.OG (talent level need serious upgrade)
3.WR (not much of explanation needed)
4.RB (Kamara need a talented running mate, should be easy to address)
5.CB (big/speedy CB needed to combat big WRs)

Quarterback situation will get worked out I just hope without major compensation. We played the season with essentially back-ups filling the role.

Im not sold that TJJ isn't the answer for RB. We don't need another skill guy but a bowling ball 2nd punch. I think pass catchers is our biggest need but if OT is the BPA in the first I would be fine with going that route. OG can probably wait until later rounds.

Agree w/ you for the most part, but I'd place WR @#1, bump OG down to #3, and remove #5 from the list.

We need to either find a spot for Ruiz on the Oline where he can contribute or move on and bring in a journeyman, reliable OG to replace....don't try to fix that through the draft.

Offensive line as a whole needs to be evaluated. Ruiz was just downright bad. Armstead is still great but injuries always creep up on him, same goes for Peat.

There's too much talent in free agency and the draft for us not to upgrade the WR position. RB is a toss up since we got Ingram for another year, maybe sneak in a guy in the draft.

Don't think corner is as big of a need as DT is. We were shuffling lineman like a deck of cards all season, would like to see us get someone who can consistently stick with Onyemata, maybe even move Cam inside.

Ruiz is very puzzling. I have not completely thrown in the towel on him but he was not the instant hit we have become used to in those Online draft picks since the Peat pick.

Damn forgot to mention what I'd sub in to replace CB as a need...Defensive Tackle depth, Cam and Dav feasted once Onyematta got back going. He needs a Rankins like Partner in Crime so that the DE's can feast. I've said it a couple of times, Davenport is a potential 20 sack guy on the end....get him some help in the middle and it will happen.

1. We need to get a deal done with Marcus Williams. With him, Latt, CGJ and Paulson our secondary is top 5 in the league.
2. WR - the lack of talent in this group is why we were 29th in the NFL. The Giants had more passing yds than us...
3. TE - see above. You have to look way back in Paytons time here to find more disappointing TE production than this season. Rolling into the season with Troutman and a bunch of bodies you could expect this outcome. Payton loves an impact TE and we dont currently have one.
4. Guard - I think our next tackle is already on the roster. However, guard is an issue. We need to be stronger and quicker inside. However if we draft right we shouldnt have to reach into the higher rounds to find one.

I tend to agree on the first four, possibly putting guard need above tackle, but I think a play-making TE is more important right now than a bigger CB.

Positions I hope we look into in the offseason:

Offense: OT, OG, WR, TE
Defense: DE, DT, LB, S

Re-signing Williams will take care of one on the list.

I always go into the offseason with hopes of improving the front 7 on defense no matter how good they already are.

I'll legit puke if we don't snag a WR in the first round. Jameson Williams, Garrett Wilson, or Chris Olave please

Can we just sign a proven WR? Our track record for drafting WRs is terrible. We have them all over the place on the roster but not many pan out.
Thomas - yes. Colston - of course. But not much else.

1. WR
2. TE
3. OG/OT
4. FS
5. DT

T is fine with or without Armstead. You can either slide Ram to LT and let Hurst play RT or leave them where they are. If you lose Armstead you need a 3rd Tackle. You still also have Peat who can play LT.

Now G is a huge problem. Peat is always hurt and Ruiz is not good.

WR is the biggest glaring weakness on the roster. Depending on what happens with Thomas, you may need 2 starters.

TE is also a problem.

Defense is good as is as long as we keep both Williams.

My needs.

1. WR X2
2. G
3. TE
4. RB
5. Secondary depth

WR & OT/OL are clear needs. But RB is quietly a big need for us too. RB Tyler Allgeier from BYU would/could be the perfect fit for that RB2 role. The dude reminds me so much of Mark Ingram. I posted some stuff about him in the college prospects to watch thread. Allgeier is one of the complete backs in this draft.
