College Transfer Portal going crazy! (1 Viewer)

247Sports shows that since August 2021, LSU has had 11 players enter the portal, and signed 2 players from it. Of those that entered, 3 are DB's and 4 are WRs. Maybe those guys are upset that Corey Raymond and Mickey Joseph weren't retained. And/or want to try for some of that NIL $$$.

I am hearing Dwight is leaving for the same reasons he didn't play in the bowl game.

Academically ineligible? Team rules?

Im not sure the academic bar is lower elsewhere... and it often seemed we hardly had team rules under O.
Well, we have one team rule that's different than every other SEC team.

Chark and Gage left LSU raw as hell. Jefferson, Chase and Marshall give credit to Brady, as does Mickey.
Who does Odell and Landry credit?

I mean, we can just pretend that LSU didn't put 4 of the best rookie WR's in the history of the NFL in the league in the past decade. Them dudes were polished. Like very, very, very polished.

We've been the best WR producing school in the league the last decade, there is only one way to go.

Adam Henry.

The Giants just fired Judge. I know the rumor is Cortez Hamlin's, but if Adam Henry wants to return then he should be at the top of the list.

Its a dumb one... LSU should get on the ball.

Then someone should remind recruits, that though Louisiana still lags behind, their recreational laws are better than most SEC states, with at least partial decriminilization.

Amd before someone says anything about irresponsible pot smokers. I just asked my director for clarification on a request via messenger. She asked that we revisit it tomorrow because she was off work amd just smoked a bowl. Not my cup of tea (yes i have tried it as a tea), but cannabis being an impediment to success amd excellence is a myth that needs to stop.

I don't disagree with it being dumb. At the very least, LSU should mirror the policies of the governing athletic conference.

However, there are lots of policies at my job and in the world in general that I don't agree with, this included. I've managed to not touch it for 45 years because I don't want to suffer the professional and legal consequences. It's tough for me to have sympathy for people who can't follow previously agreed upon rules for such a privilege. That also is dumb.

We don't have the crazy money that these large megaplex cities have. BR is small potatoes compared to Houston, Dallas, LA, Miami etc. One single booster offered 100k to all members of the team in Miami. Each of these cities has more residents than all of Louisiana.
I read somewhere that TAMU has more CEOs as alumni than any other school.

TAMU is going to make a jump in recruiting. I'm not convinced it's going to immediately translate into championships. They still have a coaching issue to overcome.

Very true, I work for a (huge) company that has a "not when your working, but otherwise we dont care approach"... they only drug test their warehouse workers due to some regulation(not exactly sure). However I interviewed with Alaska Airlines, and their policy includes nicotine free for employment. Knowing when you cannot do something in life is important, and a key aspect of maturity IMO.
