What you watching? - Quarantine Edition (4 Viewers)

If you make it all the way through it, you are a better man than I.

Same here, I’m a huge Tolkien fan, the Hobbit is my fav book and I’ve read the LOTR series multiple times…I only made through like 50 pages of the Simirillian….

yesterday i finished 2 all-times favorites - The Expanse and Station 11
I'd already started White Lotus as a replacement for Cobra Kai which did not do it for me this season
have second seasons of both Beforeigners and Snowpiercer waiting for me to finish White Lotus (i'm ready to finish it too, i'm not finding it as amazing as some of my podcasters have prolaimed)

I am so excited to watch the Station Eleven finale tonight.
I tried Beforeigners and could not get into it...
How is Snowpiercer?? Did not get too much info in that thread, but it seems like it has gotten progressively better? I enjoyed the movie. Is it still on Netflix?

Snowpiercer is on HBO - when it's just being fantasy, pulpy fun it's better than average - but every now and then it has aspirations that it can't meet (think of it as the walking dead before it got really bad)

I've got to try and figure out where I can go to watch BBC 1's Ghost. The iPlayer at their site only works if you are in the UK and it won't work if it detects that you are using VPN.

I don't watch zombie stuff so I can't compare, but I can tell you that the second season of Snowpiercer is really good. Better than the first. I think they do a good job of pacing the story. No filler and they keep the story line going.

BTW, Snowpiercer is also on the USA Network for those that don't have HBO Max. And for those who don't know, it's really a reboot of the movie made into a series. It's not like it happens after or before the events of the movie.

I've been hemming and hawing over HBOMax. I'll have to drop one of my other services, maybe Para+.
HBOMax has been gradually adding to their library of movies and shows. More robust offerings than a year ago. I keep saying I'll cut it, but then they reel me back in. My wife hasn't watched Superman & Lois, so we're watching season 1 currently. Also watched the original Blade Runner and will watch the sequel this weekend.

Plenty to see on the service.

After looking at the line up, it's very tempting. I'll think on it a bit more and probably do like CK recommended and binge some shows for a few months then let it go....we'll see.

Just starting the Silent Sea on Netflix.
