Anyone ever able to get Amazon to successfully fix their shipping issues to their residence? We took on Hurricane Ida pretty badly, but things are back to normal. I can ship something 2 day shipping and get it in 2 days from other sites. However, if I buy ANYTHING from Amazon and choose Prime shipping, it takes 6+ days. I have been trying to get them to understand this, but I have yet to get anywhere. If I ship to Houma, LA on Amazon, I am looking at 6 days. If I ship to Morgan City, LA, it takes 2 days. The package goes through the FedEx hub in Houma.

Is it just me or other people facing this as well? I bought some soccer equipment on Sunday. It is getting delivered tomorrow, Saturday. It shipped Prime from Carencro, Louisiana.

I'm not seeing similar issues, I'm in Gonzales/P-Ville

I’m outside ATL; same issues, prime is 4-8 days instead of 2. Prime Now hasn’t been available in over a year. I can get some things faster from ebay than through Amazon.

It takes 6 to 8 days for Amazon Prime here just like it always has. Regular Mail seems to have slowed down, it's about 4 days for a letter anymore.

What's this about there having been 2 day service?

That would have been kind of amazing.

Think you told me before. What area? I'm in Dunwoody.

It's varies for me but I get tons of stuff next day. Literally every other purchase. Rarely anything longer than 3 or 4 days. I'm positive it's due to the proximity of the fulfillment centers. But I'm not sure why it's labeled 'Free Prime Delivery' on some and 'Rush Shipping' on others. It's never an extra charge.

Yeah, same here. Maybe it varies by location/region, but just about everything we order gets here in a day or 2. The only reason something would take longer is if a vendor takes time to get their product shipped.

As another poster pointed out, I'm not surprised there are some supply chain and logistics bottlenecks in some areas.

I have had 5 out of 9 packages get delayed or had to be shipped again after lost package. I have also had an order show as delayed, order dissappear from my"Orders" and then show up 1 day late and the history still does not show on my account.

If they got the shipping time down to 2 days, there would be no reason to get in a car and spend 5 to 6 hours round trip, and all that gas expense, to go to a store from here anymore.

The solution is simple…don’t do business with Amazon
Sure, but Amazon is hardly the only company dealing with the supply chain and logistics issues. And it seems somewhat localized. It's understandable imo. But yeah, there are other options out there.

I’m sure that some of their issues are related to the recent, tragic weather events at their distribution center (KY I believe). But, I will never do business with them.
