N/S Deshaun Watson Wants To Play For The NY Giants (1 Viewer)

Great for Giants, if it happens. If everything clears on the legal side, I could see the Saints going after Deshaun Watson.

If I was Watson I would not want to be anywhere near the media spotlight like NY players are subjected to. The NY press is notoriously brutal. If I were him I’d try like hell to get to a smaller market and try to avoid the media at all costs

22 lawsuits alleging misconduct by masseuses...if he were charged w/ 22 counts of sexual assault, it would be a different story.

At least he wasn't running a pit bull fighting ring, he'd be in deep doodoo
In this reply I am not excusing or judging the merit of any of the actions Watson may or may not have taken. That’s a separate conversation. But I will say that it’s been since last spring when these accusations came out and the HPD has thus far not indicated they plan to charge him for anything.

That being said, I believe McNair and their crazy VP, Easterby, instigated the public arc of all this to try to damage Watson and force him to relent on his demand to be traded. They were too dumb and short-sighted to imagine Watson and those representing him would call their bluff and use league rules to keep him paid and on the roster even when f he didn’t play.

They also thought that simply hiring an African American HC would impact Watson and make him forget all the Texans past BS and come back into the fold. Now they know they have to deal Watson, so they fired Culley, which shows the cynical and monolithic view they have of the QB and now former HC.

So the reason nothing has come of the case is basically Watson used Instagram to get in touch with... uh... "masseuses" and verbal agreements were made, cash changed hands for "off the menu" services. It is just a she-said, he-said with no paper trail and nothing more than the court of public opinion. At the end of the day it looks like a shameless cash grab by a sleazy lawyer and a bunch of desperate women. That said, Watson left himself open to this by getting himself involved with these kinds of women to begin with.

No doubt. My opinions about Watson’s judgment and “moral compass,” are not positive, but the lack of all this smoke turning into an actual legal fire after so many months, is telling, IMO.

I have family and friends in Houston that are Texans fans and feel bad for them. What a train wreck.

Deshaun Watson and Robert Kraft could get together and share notes. Hang out with each other this off-season and learn how to say “I’ll give you a nickel to tickle my pickle” in different languages. Maybe even ASL.
