ESPN Report. Disturbing Stats regarding penalties and Saints (1 Viewer)

Two things killing us - Roger is still sour that his suspensions against the players were over ruled by Tags. The second thing is the no call and the terrible publicity it brought the league and the fact that the superbowl that year was a joke.

Roger's house of cards may or may not fall someday, I'm just hoping I'm around to see it if it does.

Nothing will ever come of any of this… and it’s disgusting.

This article will fade away quickly along with the truth about the crookedness of the NFL.

If anything, this could be spun into another example of how the Saints and their fans are a bunch of whiney sore losers. 🤦‍♂️

Please tell us something we all don't already know.

It's always seemed backwards to me how we started getting flagged more. Coach has said he wants refs hired on a full time basis, which would be good for refs, fans, and teams and they would make more money so why this like slant against the saints since the no call? It can only come from the top of the league because refs have no reason to have an agenda against saints.
My guess is that the vast majority of current refs like things the way they are and are vehemently opposed to being forced give up their day jobs to work as full time refs.

I'm over it. The refs are biased. That's just a fact of life in the NFL. They play favorites and always have. They've never acknowledged or explained why the Saints have far an away the most lopsided penalty stats, particularly when it comes to subjective calls like holding. The numbers don't lie. Tell us something we don't already know.

Personally before Bounty Gate it seemed like the Saints were middle of the road
Danny Wuerrful helmet 180 on his head. I don't think a penalty was called.
Aaron Brooks facemask where Kyle Turley is penalized
Katrina season a tight end was laying on his back and the defender forced a fumble by taking the ball from him while he was somehow not down.

Do I need to continue?

No, but I want to say Duece in a SF playoff game where he was knocked out because of a shot to the head and no penalty was called.

The Jerry Rice TD where he dropped the ball at the 1 yard line and was still called a TD. That was before they started instant replay.

Don't forget that Vikings game where Reggie returned 2 punts for TD's but we lost because of that Adrian Peterson fumble that wasn't a fumble because "the ball was still near him" or some shirt like that.

one of these is not like the others:

Here are the NFL teams whose opponents have been flagged the most in ...

the last four years
1. Steelers563
2. Titans540
3. Chiefs533
4. Bengals531
5. Falcons526
I'm surprised that this list didn't include the Falcons AND the Panthers and Bucs.

The knock out blow was Pierre Thomas

and

Replay was in effect for that Rice one:

Good catch, actually iirc, they hadn't started automatically reviewing after scores and turnovers yet. That's probably what I was thinking of.

You're right about it was PT.

Also thanks to Mike and Jeff Duncan for blowing me off when I sent this to them after last season.
{Language warning}

If I can have these observations and do the homework, why can't they do it?

Why do they have to wait for Elias?
UPDATE:

I replied to a Mike Triplett tweet with the link, and he read the material was very gracious about it.

So if I have to be fair and give him credit for dealing with a layman in a tweet exchange.

He also said he didn't recall that he had not been responsive to me previously, so if not I am mis-rembering and am in the wrong here for calling him out.
