If you can change one moment (1 Viewer)

To play it safe, the no call. It may be recency bias, but I have no doubt in my mind we go to the Superbowl and win it that year. 2011 is another good candidate, especially considering Bountygate as mentioned (kudos to Complex Kid for the scenario BTW). Still, there's another game to be played and a stronger Patriots team to beat that year.

2018 was our year: Brees rides off into the sunset and we all don't lose so much faith in the NFL. Reffing may also be a bit less lopsided in the following years because of that. It would have been perfect.

The no call has really decreased my interest in the NFL, Still can't get over it.

This. It was like having something stolen from you and then the NFL refused to admit it. When a season and Super Bowl appearance can be taken away by something so clearly wrong and so out of the teams control, it just makes me not want to invest emotion into NFL fandom. I still watch the Saints, but I don't watch the rest of the NFL and I just don't have the passion for it that I once did.

Given the impact that the no-call had on the team and all of us fans, this is a really interesting take. If the Saints won in 2018 and Brees called it a career then, 2019 is something different, entirely.

Vernon Davis' TD in 2011
Or
The no call
Or
Minny Miracle
Mine would be the no-call. Because if the no-call is righted we definitely go to the Superbowl and I think the Saints handle the Pats easily. At that point legacies would've changed between how people viewed Brees vs. Brady. The SF loss...didn't guarantee we would've gone to the Superbowl. Yes we beat the Giants like a drum a few weeks prior...but we also swept the Bucs in the regular season last year. The Minny miracle...I think we would've lost after that anyway. Just think it was the Eagles year that year.

The no call is the obvious answer for me. I wish I could go back in time and try to talk some sense into Gregg Williams at the end of that 49ers game. Vernon Davis had been killing us all game long. He was the one guy that had to be neutralized. Instead of being macho man, not going to change my style guy, I wish he would've had a little more awareness and paid more attention to Davis. Sure you give up some yardage and they probably get into FG range but you just can't give up huge plays like that to their best player on the last drive. I still think we at least go to the Super Bowl if they win that game.

Then I'd like to go back and tell Marcus Williams not to do whatever it is that he tried to do at the end of the game.

I agree with so many.

The no call on the Rams not only robbed us of what I feel was a sure Super Bowl title by beating the so-so Patriots, but it almost killed my interest in the NFL.
Ever since that moment, I cannot get past feeling that games that matter, especially playoff games, are being tweaked by the officials to ensure Vegas and the NFL head office get the stars and teams they want to advance so they ensure bringing in the most money.
