Chances are at least one of these 4 falls to 18. I lean towards whoever can beat his man deep.

Drake London can be had in the second or third round.

I think Chris Olave Will partner better with CGM.

However if CGM is no longer here then I would rather Garrett Wilson.

I would pretty shocked if London falls out of the 1st. His size alone is going to push him up draft boards IMO.

I was thinking about this today. It kinda depends who our QB going forward is going to be. I think Olave is kind of wasted with Hill or Jameis. Neither QB is particularly accurate on short timing routes. Olave would have been perfect for Drew's last few years. Williams if we're going with Jameis, can have enough deep threats. London would be great for Hill or Jameis really. Tall, red zone threat. Wilson is the best all around but I doubt he falls to 18. If he does he would be BAP as well as the top WR on the board.
So, short answer, Wilson.

Drake London is not falling out of the first. That guy is 6'5 and eats CBs for a living once the ball is in his hands.

Wilson and London in 1st and 2nd/3rd round

For me, im 100% on Drake London. He’s as refined a route runner & comes w/just as much gamebreaking ability as all those guys, but in a 6’5 215lb frame w/room to grow. Oh, & he did all his damage in 8 games w/pure unrest throughout that USC program.

In a Sean Payton O, London would literally be a super duper version of Marques Colston. Put him on the field w/a healthy Mike T & AK, & our TBD QB will be set up for success.

FWIW, this draft site has Drake London as the top graded WR in the entire class! I don’t know how much this site actually knows, but they sure did a nice job in creating their aesthetic, and have some good info.

Didn’t London break an ankle? Williams has a torn ACL, I would hard pressed to pass either in the second round.

I wouldn’t take a receiver in the first.

Spent a little time digging around Mock Drafts (made after the end of the regular season) the past few days, and for once... all the mock drafters completely agree with us Saintsreportsters. Wide Receiver.

It seems almost an even split between Williams and Olave. I personally don't know which would be better in our offense, but I do have an itch in the back of my mind that says we will not actually take a WR in the 1st. My gut says we'll either use the #18 pick on a offensive tackle, defensive tackle, or Safety if there's one graded that high who's still available.

That being said, I've moved my cloud to the 2nd round and started looking at players like David Bell, Sky Moore, George Pickens, John Metchie, and Jahan Dotson. In a way it makes sense to add a WR from this group because if you ignore the media and social media know-it-all boo-birds, anybody we bring in will likely be playing 2nd fiddle to a healthy Mike Thomas at least for a few years. We made a HUGE financial commitment to MT, and that more than anything tells me how SP feels about the player.

So at this point (unless something changes), my pick is John Metchie - Alabama. He should run one of the best 40's at the combine, but he's more than just a deep burner. I'm not as good a projecting college players as many of you guys on here, but from all I've read on him, he seems to me like he's everything we wanted Brandin Cooks to be. A more elite version of Deonte' Hardy with better size which hopefully means more durability at the NFL level. A good complement for Michael Thomas and an all level threat capable to get to even Jameis Winston's deepest throws.

NOTE: My take has Jameis as our QB going forward. Kinda need to have a QB in mind when you're shopping for receivers. If Taysom were the QB, Metchie would still be a candidate, but I could actually see us using the 18th pick or moving up in the 2nd round to try and get a guy like Burks, Williams, or London. A bigger bodied receiver who has maybe a little more of an edge than a smaller receiver would on those contested catches, which seems like a better fit for Hill.

I only mentioned him going in the second or third around because of the injury. I agree that he would be a first rounder but for that.
