I am not advocating for this but the thought has crossed my mind. He has the attention to detail and mindset to be a head coach. He knows the key players, staff, and business personnel. Is it too much of a stretch for him to come back to the Saints to replace CSP?

I agree, not saying it is likely to happen, but just wondering what people would think

Sorry I have seen so many great players fail at their second career. Go look at Michael Jordan.

Why does exceling at the QB position make you think he'd be a great head coach?

Nope. He hasn't been away from the game long enough to transition to coaching. Not every player can coach. The best coaches that were players usually weren't great players.

Great question, it has little to do with his excelling at the QB position and more about him as a leader, his attention to detail, and his understanding of the game

That is true, most great players don't make it to coaching because they don't want to or have to continue working. They made enough money during their playing career they can do anything when they retire and not have to go through the grind of coaching
