To think I was preparing to be disappointed in us taking a lineman in the draft and now I need to get ready for a coach whose main selling point will be continuity and keeping the gang together. I'm not excited about Allen or Glenn (who I think is just a Rooney interview).
Has there been any indication from the team that they're going with Allen? Just seems like people assuming it's Allen when the search hasn't been concluded.Aaron checks the box. Announcing the request to interview Byron, while he is negotiating a contract in Jacksonville, makes it not look bad. Dennis will be announced in short order.
Really wish we conducted a search to identify the best coach. Hope DA well but this feels short sighted.
Man we have got to swing a little better than this for the fences.New Orleans Saints expected to interview Aaron Glenn for head coaching job
Detroit Lions DC Aaron Glenn spent 5 seasons as secondary coach with the Saints under Sean Payton, who stepped down after 15 years as head coach.www.freep.com
Not sure how I feel about this. I like him and thought he did well as DB coach here, but Detroit's D last year was quite bad.
Pass defense dropped from #5 in the league under Glenn (disappointing?) to #14 under Richard.Aaron Glenn was a disappointment as the secondary coach here. Only to be reaffirmed by the new hire Richard. They are balling now with the same personnel.
Trying to read between the lines with everything being said by Dan Campbell. He's genuinely nervous that the Saints would offer Glenn. He knows he's deserving of a shot as a HC and New Orleans would be a perfect start.
I've read quite a bit on all the coaches and my gut keeps telling me it's gonna be Glenn.

Yeah but… King Roger just released a statement saying that the lack of African-American HC’s is “unacceptable”.Glenn may or may not end up being a good HC, but based upon the data available, his hire would fly in the face of logic and reason.
He's simply not earned a HC role in this league yet.
