If you answered "yes" then please do not blame Gibbs or call for him to be fired.

Using the same Analogy. Was it Gibbs's responsiblity to bring the tools to the contruction site? - No. Somebody else ignored what we needed.

Was it Gibbs that passed on defense with both of our first rounders in his era?- No
Was it Gibbs would traded back out of the 2nd round?- No

Folks, if you don't have the right tools, the job or task is next to impossible to accomplish.

Don't you think its difficult to build a scheme around these players? Lets see, we have corners that cannot play man to man, outside of mckensie. We have a defensive line that cannot bring pressure if its just the 4 of them. And we have a linebacker core that never can come up with the big play even if they are position to do so.

I agree with you PennStater....he can only work with what he has talent wise....give the man more talent to work with and they'll be singing his praise...:9:

Too much logic. 1 gold box for you.

Don't you understand we should have shifted Grant to 3 tech and stood Smith up as OLB and gone to a 3 / 4?

I still don't understand why we're not utilizing our fifteen tight ends as corner backs. ;)

lol llamakc. at least this is put up or shut up time. we cannot ignore this defense now. i hope we get tons of defense and if gibbs cant produce then we cut him loose. the only person who can be criticized is sean payton. he has all the tools and still has issues. passing all the time and still cant get reggie going. hopefully we get it together this offseason.

My joke aside, I agree Superfan. I think Gibbs gets one more year, and we upgrade with wholesale changes on D. That is unless we can upgrade talent AND get a higher profile D/C like a Rex Ryan or Zimmer.

No matter what, I'll be closely watching the defense next training camp (unless we draft a receiver in the first round :) )
