Washington did fairly well before he was president, does that count?

Any of our early presidents while we were actually at war (Washington, Adams, Jefferson, and Madison to be sure).

Some would argue for Woodrow Willson but it's known that he squashed internal dissent vs. our actions in WW1.

Woodrow Wilson was among the worst, IMO.

The Russian Civil War didn't come down to Lenin's force of will? My bad. I'll go reread some history. Ok and technically he wasn't ruler of Russia during the war, I'll grant that. Relax Spam. By now you should know most of my posts are tongue in cheek. Sheesh... try decaf.
