The deputy was responding to a burglary alarm and saw someone walking along side the road. The deputy saw it was a youth and got out his car to approach the teen, when the 13yo pulled a gun as soon as the deputy got out his patrol car and was shot by the suspect.

Now tell me the answers to 3 questions.

Where are the parents?

What is a 13yo doing with a gun, walking along side a road, at 3am?

Where/how did he get the gun?

PER LIVE REPORT, ON WWL!

I have not yet read tge full written story.

Kid was an honor roll student! Unreal. What snapped?

all those questions are for him and his family.

anyone else answering will be pure speculation, and no real answers.

Honor roll student where? That's not being reported.

And it’s really the wrong time to ask the questions
The cancer ward at the hospital is not the time to ask questions about healthy diet
Ultrasound scan appt is not the time to ask about contraception

Maybe he heard ‘on a roll’ like that was the third place burgled

(Bad joke but injury is not life threatening so there’s some room
Also one report said shot in the back while trying to take suspect in - that’s weird)

His parents are not real parents, or are possibly dead... He's walking around at 3am looking for a mark... He Stole the gun from a car/truck...

What do I win?

Oh look. More gun violence in America because the adults who are supposed to be responsible for guns weren't responsible enough to keep them out of the wrong hands.
He could have stole it by armed force maybe? A lot of ways he could have gotten it illegally. Just saying.

There was a struggle. He resisted and got into a physical altercation with the deputies trying to question him. How the physical struggle began, IDK. Probably because he was out at 3am and was not accompanied by an adult. There was apparent good reason to take him in and he fought, then drew a gun during the struggle and ended up shooting the officer in the lower back. In a physical struggle, anything can happen and did.
