Hey Draft Junkies... This is the best site ever!!! (1 Viewer)

I think this will change depending on the combine
However, I would love to see this happen:

1) Sedrick Ellis, DT or Kenny Phillips, S
2) Jerod Mayo, MLB or Chevis Jackson, CB

I know this might be wishful thinking but stranger things have happened.

From the way people here talk about Forte I expected to see him ranked higher than #17?

I don't understand why they have Keith Rivers listed as a MLB. He's never played MLB, and is considered to be a little on the small side even for a WLB.

Dan Connor is a MLB isn't he?
He's listed as an OLB.
Due to the amount of draft sites that list him as an OLB I believed it until I saw him play.

I didn't know this guy existed, but now that I do, I want the Saints to draft him so I can make "better than ezra" jokes while I'm watching Saints games with my friends.

Dan Conner is also an OLB. I've read reports though that say he could play both, but he is better suited to OLB.

According to the site, Meachem was the 2nd ranked WR in last year's class, right behind Calvin Johnson. Guys, WHEN Meachem picks up the offense, we're going to forget this, his "redshirt" year.

I agree 100%! :9:

Meach was a total BEAST at Tennessee. You can't say a guy that was hurt all year was a bust.

On the other hand, the site also had Antonio Pittman as the 3rd best RB.

Pierre Thomas was the 45th ranked RB.

MLB appears to be weak in this draft so we should attack their first if possible. CB's are strong and this is GOOD news for us. We could use a S, but I don't think we should spend a 1st round pick on one. K.K. and Harper can hold down the fort for next year. The top 3 DT's are expected to go early, but you never know when it comes to the draft. I just want us to pick a player who can step in and play now with our first pick. We can't afford another developmental player in the 1st round.

Phillips is clearly the best FS in the entire draft, and probably the best overall DB as well. DT is a bigger need, but if Dorsey and Ellis are gone by 10, there isn't another DT worth the 10th pick. With JL deciding to stay at OSU, there isn't a true MLB worth taking at the 10 spot, and Dan Conner would be a slight reach there. Keith Rivers would be nice, but I really don't think he's going to be there (the Pats or Bengals will grab him).

That leaves it looking like Kenny Phillips at this point, or maybe even a Vernon Gholston or Quentin Groves.

The more i think about the more i seem to be leaning to Rivers. This guy is a stud and i think our need at MLB is just to huge, but Ellis still is my #1 choice. Our D is set up for pressure and if we could get someone consistantly coming up the gut, that would be huge. Thomas does a great job just can play every down and is getting older and fatter. Young is to injury prone. The more clips i see on Rivers though, man he would be nice to have.
