Better QB Jimmy G or Jaboo?

I think there's too much added unnecessarily to the available answers.

Jimmy
Winston

:tacoes:

Then we get to add our own reasons posting in the thread.

For example... I think we could win with Garoppolo, but I think we can win with Winston and that he has a lot more upside. Add to that his current contract is a lot more cap friendly and since he's already on our team, we don't have to give up anything to get him.

Also think we can win with Dalton and that he's probably got more upside than Jimmy G. That's arguable since Andy has been a starter in the league and is pretty much a known commodity. However, I'm not sure Dalton has ever had as many offensive weapons as he would have here in New Orleans. He's certainly never had anywhere near as talented and complete a roster around him as he'd have. Our defense is worth 7 to 9 wins with a weak offense. It certainly proved THAT last season.

Is this really thread worthy? 4 weeks away from regular season week 1, Jameis our unquestioned QB1 and playing well in camp, and we really need to make a thread about this? Sheesh.

Other than his looks (and I'm reasonably sure that for most of you, that's not a factor), I do NOT understand the allure of Jimmy G as a Saints quarterback.
Neither do I, but his looks are the only thing he really has going for him. He's 1/2 the game manager Alex Smith ever was with greater talent surrounding him on offense.

IF we were devoid of a viable QB, I would take Jimmy G on our team. I do believe he has some skills and intangibles of a solid QB, but I rather see Jameis at QB obviously.

No way that settles it. This is a Saints forum. Lol of course Jameis will win.

Imo, Jameis offers more boom. I don’t think it’s a wash, and none of the other answers fit for me, so I went with Tacoes. Think Jameis is a little better, or at least offers the chance at something better. Jimmy has a nice pedigree with the NFCCG and Super Bowl appearance but I’m not sure how much he drove that machine vs how much it drove him.
