If Goodell tries to make the NFL go international, I might stop watching.

I'd say they blew it in terms of fairness - they had the perfect opportunity this year when the Giants played the Jets. Since they both play in the Meadowlands, when the play each other it is a home game for both of them. So if they were to play elsewhere no one would really be losing a home game.

That's about it from my perspective. Unfortunately, Saints fans are misrepresented here, compared to the Raiders, Pats and Giants fans.

Someone would still have lost a home game. Each team starts with 8. One team loses one by going overseas. So you then have 1 team with 7 home games, 8 away games, and 1 London game. Meanwhile the other team has 8 home games, 7 away games, and 1 London game. Either way someone loses a home game.

I don't really mind the NFL going international, but if you want to play in London, or Mexico City, or Toronto, then expand the league and let those cities have their own teams.

I wouldnt care if it was preseason. If they players and coaches could handle it I would rather have every preseason game away. Having the first game in the Dome count would be much more exciting.

If it were somebody else's home game though, would everyone still be against it?

Obviously I'm biased here, because if the Saints were involved I would be at that game whatever it took, but I think raising the profile of the Saints worldwide isn't a bad thing.

In all honestly, the number of Saints fans in the UK and Ireland is probably below 50. I think it is more in mainland Europe, and the majority in Scandanavia, as our games are on there a lot, and I often find myself watching Danish or Norwegian online streams.
I would say the number of Cowboy, Giants and Pats fans here would each surpass 20, 000 at least. There are 2 people I know in school who follow this game, and both times, when I told them I was a Saints fan, 'Who are they?' was the response. Look on NFLUK.com for example, and see how much Saints stuff you can find. The Saints thread has been on for 5 years, and has 17 pages of posts.

Surely a game covered by the national media, and broadcast live worldwide, can only be good for us? I understand that I am in the tiny majority here though.

Soccer is the #1 sport in Europe and worldwide....this will not change in our lifetimes...this is a complete waste of time and a disservice to American fans....while the teams are away maybe we could have a cricket match....geez louise...

True, but what I was trying to say is that since they would both lose a home game (because the Meadlowlands is home for both the Jets and the Gaints), neither team would feel cheated (although I'm sure their fans would)

But they wouldn't both lose a home game. One team would still have travel 9 weeks as opposed to 8.

It makes little to no sense to play reguler season games there. If you want to give them a taste of football play a preseason game over there. They won't know the difference for the most part and we don't get screwed in the process.
