I’ve seen enough. We are not going anywhere with DA, PC & JW. (1 Viewer)

The thing is I’ll give an injured Winston a pass. I’ll give Pete a pass as he knows he’s dealing with an injured QB and trying to just keep him going.

But Allen as coach is irritating me. Stupid penalties is the fault of a head coach accepting that. Fumbles to an extent are a reflection of sloppy practice and low accountability. The lack of preparation and focus this team has shown in 3 games comes down to the head coach. The little things going on are somewhere between Ditkas lack of preparation and Haslett’s lack of discipline and accountability. It’s also the same things we saw Allen have in Oakland, so the personal growth and such we were hoping for has simply not happened. This is what’s concerning to me. That is what will sink the season

Loomis is going to have to answer for his part in this mess too. They are going to regret some of their recent draft decisions.

Yep I agree. He seems to be hailed as some sort of Super Hero around here because of his ability to manipulate the cap and push money down the line which has actually cost us many times. In terms of making football decisions I think he’s whiffed far more than succeeded and I wouldn’t mind a different GM either. We need a more football focused GM.

3 games in and you're bowing out already?

Depends what you mean by bowing out?

I’m just making the point that I have zero optimism or expectation regarding our fortunes with DA, PC and JW as the forefront of our team. I am absolutely certain we will not have success. Heck, I want a new GM too. If that’s what you mean by bowing out then I’m guilty. We need a reset and that starts at the top.

Gotta put the blame where it belongs: Loomis. He had a chance to go out and get a young, up and coming, innovator, really the next Sean Payton. He told himself DA would be that guy, that DA’s utter failure as a HC in Oakland was a plus. Then, Loomis and DA compound the problem by failing to get an innovative OC, and instead go with a guy who said he didn’t even want the job. The results are clear.
On top of that Loomis failure, he mortgages the future moving up in the 1st round freely handing the Eagles a soon to be top 5 pick.

What a joke, he got Payton right but failed miserably after he left the building.

Other than the Payton signing he’s whiffed more often than not.

A lot of his cap manipulation and decision making has backfired massively. I want a more football orientated GM. Loomis is a businessman.

People were trying to justify the CCJ trade but it’s already backfired. Team has zero swagger or personality. Not even a team vibe, just an atmosphere. We lost more than we gained (a couple of garbage late picks).

Agree, but I don’t think Gayle has the stones to do anything. She rolls over the constant NFL bias against the Saints and probably loves Loomis like Sean. He’s here to stay.

I never wanted DA as Head Coach in the first place. He is out of his depth. He is a serviceable DC but not a good head coach and never will be. We have looked absolutely terrible 11 out of 12 quarters so far this season. That starts at the top. You can’t blame JW entirely. Dennis Allen just reeks of vanilla. There is nothing exciting about him whatsoever and nothing about him being our HC gives me optimism for the future. He reminds me of that kid at school who try’s to fit in with the cool group but it is all just an act and everyone can see he just doesn’t belong. He has absolutely no character and that has translated onto the team.

PC is a product of Sean Payton. I’ve seen enough.

Winston is, Winston. Whilst he was better today than last week. It still was not good enough. Even if fully healthy I don’t have faith in him. I believe last year was also a product of the genius of Sean Payton who also made Teddy B look great.

The future of our team looks bleak. We are cash strapped, ageing players at key positions, lacking a franchise QB, lacking a good HC and we also have no #1 pick next year to make things worse. There is literally nothing to hang our hopes on. We don’t even have a TE who can get open and catch a ball, let alone a franchise QB. WE NEED TO RESET. It will be better in the long run. Otherwise we could genuinely suck for the next 10 years at least.

We are in very very poor position. We should of fully reset rather than trying to continue Paytons success by handing the reigns to Allen simply because he was already on the coaching staff. If he wasn’t then he wouldn’t even been in contention and we all know it. He got the job on a technicality and of course SP was going recommend his mate, that doesn’t mean he was the answer. It was never going to work and was destined to
fail. Reminds me of when the great Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United recommended his pal and fellow Scotsman David Moyes to takeover as manager and it was a total disaster.

I feel sorry for players like Michael Thomas. An elite WR being wasted in a terrible system and his prime years soon to pass him by. He won’t hoist a Lombardi here unfortunately. Not anytime soon anyhow.

Wish we had got Doug Pederson when we had a chance. If I was Gayle I’d be opening the cheque book for J Harbaugh. Guy is a winner and proven. Don’t care if some people don’t like him, bet they would if he was coaching this team and getting the best out of them. But he is settled at Michigan. Players don’t want to play for DA, you can see it a mile away.

I’m heading to London next weekend to watch us play the Vikings. I ain’t even excited anymore.

That’s my fear with the Saints organisation as a whole. We aren’t cutthroat enough. This is a sport, it’s not about making friends, it’s competition at the highest level. I want to win. We could go 0-17 for the next 5 years and I still don’t think Gayle would even consider firing Loomis or anybody else. Unfortunately I think staff loyalty has been an Achilles heel of the Saints in the past.

it's early this year still. but longterm, i think that the team is better off having an offensive mind at the head coaching position.

The whole Allen hire had this whole vibe of (in ms Gayles voice) “ I like that Dennis . His kids are so sweet and well mannered. Let him take Sean’s place ,Mickey “ so there really was no search . I don’t know where we go from here.

Reset, with the exception of Jordan the Saints are a relatively young team, thats been together since they were drafted. I agree I didn't want Dennis Allen as head coach. I was actually living and working in the Bay area the time he was the HC of Raiders, and the sport media roasted him in the bay Area. But to be fair I'll admit I hoping we would have hired Brian Flores the job he did in Miami I thought was remarkable. And that's all I have to say about that.
