Never take what we had for granted again. (1 Viewer)

Probably should of had at least one more SB with Brees. We didn’t. I know a lot of people talk about wasting Brees prime years with crap defenses, and it’s true. However, we wasted our roster these past 4 seasons. I’m pulling for Winston, but he’s not elite (I don’t think anyone ever claimed he was). Our FO should have been better prepared for this. Should of let Brees go 1 season too early than keep him as long as we did with no plan for continuity of operations.

We were 💯 robbed of one other Super Bowl.

Just gotta rely here. Didn’t have what it takes

2011 SF game. With Pierre Thomas knocked out in the first quarter. Down by significant amounts 3 times and he brings us back to win….err no defense

Minnesota game. Down 17 in as tough an environment as you can find and he brings us back to win…. Err no defense

No Call game. On the doorstep of a chip shot FG

But no the guy didn’t have what it takes. Cmon man

2019 playoff loss was on Brees and after the 2020 season I was ready for a change. I wasn’t talking about any time before that.

I’d be happy if we get another run in a decade. Unfortunately NOLA is a difficult draw for elite coaches and players now. We’re done.
I wouldn’t go that far. This league is set up for every team to get a run at least once every four or five seasons.
I think I remember seeing a chart where the longest playoff drought was 10 with the Jets followed by 5 seasons by a cluster of teams.

Agree, we’re staring 4-13 on the face but our future top 5 pick next April is proudly in the Eagles possession.

It’s becoming apparent Payton was the brains as well as leader for the Saints organization. There will be no future runs with this group.

Brees was a 3 ring potential kind of qb on a snakebit team

I think Brady has skewed everything. Since Payton took over, only Brady and Eli have more than one championship.
Rodgers only has one. Even if you go back, Favre has just one.

It was pretty arrogant to think Sean Payton was not that much of a difference maker as a head coach and offensive mastermind.

Seriously. Someone here was arguing with me last week that losing SP was not an issue and that we should not miss a beat.

Yeah, that's not how any of this works.

Carmichael cannot scheme the offense and take advantage of defenses like SP could. It's really obvious. SP was a master.

SP won with Brees.
SP won with Taysom
SP won with Bridgewater.
SP won with Simean.
SP won with Winston.

Dennis Allen hasn't won crap in his whole career. We are in for a year of hell here.

Brah, it’s all good. I know emotions are high, especially after a disappointing loss. We are still fans and I think we will have some better outcomes soon.
Yep. Folks are P'Oed and divided. Seems to be team Taysom (never been on that team) Vs team Jameis (been on this one but am losing faith).

If we are all fans of the team first, wouldn’t we all want what’s best for the team? I struggle to understand how anyone could put player before team, no matter who that player is.
