I know we are a football town, and always will be, but c'mon. They have the third best record in the league and are ranked second in the power rankings, but the seats are empty. I'm coming home for mardi gras and plan on catching a couple games, but its really sad seeing them get little support at home. Are the cheap tickets still $7? I don't see them staying for more than a year or two at this rate, and they are a really good team.

Well I am in school at USM so I am away most of the season. But at the one game I went to I voted for the Hornet players over 300 times. True Story.

I think its a money thing. I know the economy is far from being back, thats why I moved to Cali for a little while, but there are 7 dollar tickets. I dont understand how empty that arena is every game. There has to be people in the city who like basketball, right?

I don't think money is a problem. The bottom is filled up nicely. The cheap seats are what is lacking. Once a playoff push at the end of the season heats up, I would expect more butts in the seats.

In my experience, no. But I've only tried like once, so maybe you'll have better luck with it. Slipping a Hamilton to the ushers wouldn't hurt either I guess.

I've been to a couple of games this season, want to go to more but my car's been out of commission since the middle of last month which has kept me away. I'm just glad we aren't getting any more of those sub-five figures attendance marks. Those were worthy.

Maybe an sr.com get-together to attend a few games, since football will be over soon?

I went on Monday, going tonight and again next Monday as well. First games of the year though, they have a great team.

Those that don't go are missing some good basketball. This team is playing extremely well. I understand the indifference and realize this is a football first town, but if you like basketball (even a little) then you should get out and go see them play. The "cheap" seats are just that. I take two of my boys with me and we have a good time for $30.00 (sometimes $60.00 if I feel like "splurging"). We eat before we go to the game so there is no outrageous spending going on in the arena. I don't drink, so that saves me money, and we don't buy the over-priced crap they sell at the gift shop. We have a good time for about the same amount I would shell out at the movies and most of the time I am more entertained at the arena.
