Back to back LB's? (1 Viewer)

Yes.

Rivers taking Shanle's spot + Mayo playing MLB would be beastly. I'm really high on Mayo in the 2nd.

why not? were building this team and if there available grab them!!

Remember when the Eagles spent there draft on the secondary? they got Sheldon Brown and Lito Sheppard, they knew it needed a shot of youth and its payed off, the Saints needa shot of youth and athletism in the LB core so if 2 linebackers are available that we like, why not take them?

I'm really pulling for Rivers with that #10 pick though.

I say yes, we need some players at the LB spots. I'd like to see us get a CB in the 3rd like Chevis Jackson.

I'd be for it, but instead of grabbing a cb in the third im looking at whats left on the board in the DT spot. I'd be good with CB if we grab a DT in FA.

My wishlist is as follows

1) Ellis --
2) The LSU cornerback or Mayo
3) A LB or CB depending on what we drafted in the 2nd and BPA

Seems like we were all saying the same thing last year before the draft, as far as what positions need to be addressed.

CB(2), LB(2), DT(1.5)

In no particular order, just go BPA at these positions, (how many we need). None of these were successfully filled last offseason, bringing in Jason David; Brian Simmons, who should have started; and drafting a small school CB in round 3 who wouldnt be ready to play. So here we are again, hopefully with the cap room we have we can fill these weak spots with real NFL caliber talent.

I say heck yea to that... Rivers... Mayo... Fujita... all the MONSTERS..

Chevis Jackson = Fred Thomas 06 version. Jackson has even less speed, if he didn't play for LSU no one would know who this guy is. Let's get a good CB not somebody we just root for.

I'm hoping we make our big splash with Briggs and either get Rivers in the 1st or Mayo in the 2nd to play alongside Briggs.

Well, Chevis is a couple of inches taller, for one. I am no scout, but he looked pretty good in man coverage in the title game.

did you see who he was covering. Brain Robiske is not a great WR. Now don't get me wrong Jackson is a good player but i think he is suited for a cover 2 type defense. We need big corners you can play on the ball.

BPA; if it's Rivers and Mayo, dig it. We need 2 LBs; better to get too solid LBs, than a couple of reaches at other positions. I guess that's the one good thing about having so many needs. :hihi:

:(

should we do it if we get Rivers in the 1st and if Mayo is there in the 2nd?

pure GOLD

the only better things would be to get ellis and mayo or rivers and lofton

but hell, if mayo is the pick in the second i would LOVE IT
