His cousin works with me and he came by today during lunch. I chatted with him for a little while. Nice guy! He said that he wasn't sure if he was going to be back with SF next year. We also talked about the possibility of the movie being made about him. He said that he was going to be writing a book as well.

good stuff, I met him a long time ago (2001, I think, before he pretty much became THE MAN), he's a great guy but so SHORT! lol...

I thought the same thing about his hight. I knew he wasn't a very big guy, but I thought he would be taller.

Had to be very tough, a guy that size going full speed in to guys much bigger coming full speed down the field, Gutsy

I still love the beerman. I met him right after the game where he returned a punt and kickoff for touchdowns. Small, yes, but rock solid, and super, super, nice guy. Seemed more humble and grateful after such a great achievement rather than being arrogant and proud about it.

I will always, always be a Michael Lewis fan.

Who would play Lewis? His cousin Emmanuel may come cheap. Beerman is one of my faves. A beast on Madden, he was.

He's one of my all time favorite Saints...I miss the Beerman!!

I think the front office worst decision last year was not Jason David but getting rid of BEERMAN!!! He has a huge impact on field position.

I jokingly asked him about a return to the Saints and he said that wouldn't happen. I detect a little bitterness from him being released last year. I think if he didn't get hurt, he would still be with the team. Either way, he was exciting when he was here and the whole story of how he got where he did is nice.

I met him back around Christmas '01. I used to work with his aunt, and we went hand out teddy bears at Children's Hospital during the holidays. He was a super cool guy and seemingly enjoyed hanging out and talking football with the kids. I was really suprised how short he was. I'm 6'2" and he was literally at my chin level. I took a picture with him and he signed it for me...but that was lost in Katrina...stoopid hurricane!!!!
