Would you rather have draft picks....or Sean Payton back? (1 Viewer)

Would you rather have a #1 pick +other compensation for Payton...or have him come back as our coach?

I'm just curious...and this is strictly just for fun. If there was a chance that Payton could come back as the Saints coach (and for the record I don't think that ever happens) and he was revitalized from his time off....would you want him again? Or would you rather have the draft picks and move on?

Them picks. Payton left us in a pretty crappy spot and then endorsed Allen to be the next HC.

If we get a first round pick we're right back in the conversation for any QB in the draft not named Stroud or Young. If they turn out decent then we got 5 years of cheap QB play which would go a massive ways to fixing our cap issues and it'd give our next HC his QB. It's not a coincidence that so many Super Bowls feature at least one team with a young QB still on his rookie contract or Tom Brady playing for about half his value.

Ladies and gemntlemen -

In the NFL it all starts with coaching. If Sean Payton could be lured back to coach, he could immediately fix many of the issues ailing this team fairly quickly. Leaving the reins of coaching to a subordinate may have been something either he didnt have dog in the fight or didnt have much say.

LOL some of you are hilarious. You act all butt hurt like SP was your spouse and needed break and you'll cut your nose off to spite your face and not take them back. You'd rather have a pick or two and take a CRAP SHOOT in the HC market. A couple of draft picks are not worth a HOF HC. Take a look at what SP did last yr with maybe the most decimated injury-wise team in the last 20yrs. He produced a WINNING season and just missed the playoffs. Plus your forgetting the FA market impact. Players (especially QB's and offensive players ) WANT to play for Payton. There are more than half of the teams in the league that would drop their current HC and hire SP

Lots of pics and a new coach. The time to cut the cord has long passed.

Me neither....buuuuuut my new girl just don't (.............) can't help but to look back at what I missed out on.
I'm about to dump her, this just ain't working. I should have listened to my friends in the bay.

Yeah I don't understand some of the comments about him. I did choose the draft picks but only because I don't know how much more Payton has in him. He may come back and burn out again in a few years. He's newly married too and I doubt his wife wants to love in NOLA so he wouldn't be here nearly as much as he was the first time. I do miss him though. Those types of coaches don't come along too often
