Speculation (Winston will probably leave) (2 Viewers)

No defending Allen, because he’s horrible, but there’s a lot more going on than we all see. Jameis has put himself in this position with not only his play but his presence in the locker room. You can’t act like a teenager and expect to lead men. Allen has done a lot of things wrong, I don’t believe this is one of them. Jameis is done as an NFL starter. He’s definitely done here and there’s little chance, bearing injury he takes significant snaps again.

Maybe I missed it but how did he act like a teenager in the locker room??

From what I have seen he is out there congratulating guys on good plays....etc.

Giving out interviews that insinuate, if not outright, accuse your coach of lying to you is not good for the locker room. That isn't to say that he's wrong for doing it. I believe him, I have no reason not to, and DA hasn't shown me enough to give him the benefit of the doubt. Having said that, Winston is basically auditioning for another team at this point, at least in my opinion. He's clearly feeling like he's been treated poorly (again maybe it's true) and he's telling the media about it. Maybe they can sweep it under the bridge but sometimes you just don't have a way back from the things you say. Doesn't mean he's not a good teammate, just means he isn't planning on sticking around.

I disagree. If what he accuses DA of doing is true then he did Winston very dirty. I don't see any issue with Winston talking about it as long as what he says is true.

If he is making it up then I would have a big problem with stirring the pot.

I don't think you disagree with me at all actually. I'm not saying he was wrong, I'm saying it doesn't play well with others. It's a cold fact of the world we live in that being right isn't necessarily the best option to endear yourself to either your current employer or potential future employers.

Yeah I get that. Agreed.

Allen lost the locker room when he threw a temper tantrum and traded CJGJ for nothing. Sure, CJ was talking smack about Allen saying "he's not a real head coach".
But CJ was only speaking the truth.
If I had a player option or was a FA at the end of the year I'd want out too.

It's just like Drew Brees and Doug Flutie always said: as a starting QB, don't let your back up see the field (or words to that effect).

If nothing else, Dalton is a commanding presence on the field, in the locker room and in front of the camera.

As a QB, you either have that or you don't. Carson Wentz has been criticized for the same thing.

I think JW might make a solid back up with a team somewhere, but his days as QB1 are over.

And if he's sour grapes about it with the media (unlike Matt Ryan), he's gone after this season.

Just my reading of the tea leaves from afar.

I can’t wait for him to be gone. Either next year or after a successful run with the Saints. Will be nice not having everyone arguing about him anymore lol. Of course if they cut him we will hear about what a mistake it was because he will do great somewhere else. And if he has a good run here we will argue about how he compares to previous QB’s lol.

Do you have an inside info or insights that prove this? Or are you just speculating to support your narrative….I see no evidence to support that JW is acting like a “teenager”, I see him on the sidelines cheerleading and supporting the team….if anything DA is acting like a sullen withdrawn rudderless coach that has alienated certain players and has no idea how to lead….

Little chance of him ever succeeding? Wow….the hate is strong here….
