Just found the next Saints quarterback (1 Viewer)

No no no no no. He's a local kid from here in Phoenix, so I got to read a lot of stuff about him, and see some of his play(different division but he played against my son a couple times). Lots of talent but very immature- In terms of mental make up think Kyler Murray with less talent and more pouting. Really easy to get in his head and upset his game- same in high school as college. Not sure that is something you can coach out of a kid.

I just knew somebody was going to make a thread after they saw that performance last night. Lol, he did look nice.

I still say no

So you're saying he's regressed...

I really like Tagovalioa as a day two target. He helped himself today against OSU.
I really want to love Taulia, but man... He doesn't have pocket presences and he's short.

Besides that... He's a straight gamer. He and Spenser needs to sit and develop for at least a season. Would love to gamble on either of them.

I'm not saying anything but to look at the whole picture... Not sure what happened his SO season, but he looked like the next big thing as a Freshman... Then looked like that again last night... The talent is there, The potential is there, The intangibles are there.... And frankly that's what you look for in draft prospects. He could be a great NFL QB... or a complete bust... But so could any of these college QB prospects we talk about... IMO, he's a good a bet as any, and there is a chance we wouldn't need a 1st rounder to take a shot on him...

Get ready for what should be adequate compensation. Just saying
Reading the comment section after the article is telling. I’m sure most, if not all of the remarks are from general football fans, not Saints fans. It gives you a good prospective of what fans outside of our fan base really think of Coach Payton. I’m sure there is a franchise (owner) willing to give up a R1 pick and pay him a lot of money, but there are many that think he is nothing special without a great QB.
