Is it jus possible that we’ve FINALLY found a potentially good passing O?

Other than 2-3 plays, I thought Andy Dalton had his best day as a Saint ( and actually one of the best in his career!). With a banged up O line, he went more with the short, quick passing game.
N it worked! Side note: no big surprise to me here! Like Drew said back ina day, “Completions are good!

But IMO, in this game, Dalton found n stayed with his “core” of receivers: CO, AK, Juwan n Jarvis! They combined for 15 of his 22 completions n all three of his TD passes!

All four are really good n know HOW to play! All 4 are capable of winning against man coverage, but also know how to find holes n “sit down” against zone.

Along wit AK n CO. it was great to have a healthy Jarvis back! He’s physical n a walking “first down” ! This is exactly why we brought him in!

But perhaps the “best kept secret” of the group is Juwan Johnson! He’s blossoming into one helluva pass catching TE! He’s only got about 31 catches for 350 yds. But in the last 5 games, he’s caught FIVE TDs! N u can see he’s playing with confidence!

6 games left. And the way the NFC South is looking, who knows, maybe we still have a chance!

Wait until San Francisco bullies this offense next week like Baltimore and Pittsburgh did…

Don’t let the shine from a win vs a terrible Rams team cloud your vision… this is not a good team.

We won and dominated the game but it still was bland predictable and a average performance at best.

Need to see some consistency from week to week, and string a couple of wins together before you can really think there is a chance. The two weeks before this were hideous.

Sorry despite their performance today I am still not confident in the offense. Dalton may have a few good drives here and there but still making dumb mistakes like sacks and questionable play calling. Look at that offensive line. Gees I have to look at the name in the back of the jersey. Running game isn't all great. Taysom running helps out a little but we can't rely on Kamara and Taysom to do all the work.

Charmichael didn’t call a great game IMHO. Dalton took a couple of huge sacks. I liked that Taysom was involved but I’d like to see us use our screen game. Defense played well but had a couple blunders as normal. Not horrible but not great either. The Rams have also been a bad team this year.

You don't think the pathetic effort of the rest of the affects the QB play. Is there anything he can do short of throwing 30 TDs and 0 ints over the rest of the season that might garner anyone saying that he's not the worst QB in the league?

I didn't think the defense play well. Gave up a long touchdown. Gave up alot of long runs. Lots of miss tackles, lot of 3rd and long conversion from them , very little pressure coming from the line. Most of the sacks came from the linebackers.

It doesn't matter. We're cooked regardless. The more we lose, the more likely we are to give the Eagles a top pick. The more we win, the more likely we're stuck with Dennis Allen for another year.

Wake me up in the 2024 offseason please.

Maybe we watched different games because Dalton was getting pressured a LOT! Once they statered putting Donald over Throck, Dalton had no choice but to get rid of it quick.

I do like how Pete started lining AK out wide. On that reverse pass had Dalton let it rip, AK would have walked in for the TD. Luckily we scored anyway but that was a great play call.

It always feels good to win, but we are having a Yo-Yo type of season much like a lot of teams this year but until we start stringing together wins, I'd just enjoy this one and have a good week at work.

I actually hated that playcall because it’s a long developing play and we haven’t shown the ability to block those all year but there’s no denying that it was a win in terms of getting Kamara open. Idk if he was the first read or not though, Dalton certainly didn’t act like Kamara was the first read.
