Saints Olave OROY (opinion) (1 Viewer)

Ramsey was absolutely terrible today. We are not a good football team, but at least we don't have guys like that on our sideline. Hard pass on players like that.
Chris Harris you say

Latt is pretty inconsistent…. Great some games and toasty in others. Olave will be more consistent and equally good. That’s why he’ll be better
Time will tell, it's just his first year.

Olave absolutely roasted Jalen Ramsey on that 53 yard TD...

Would like to see the whole route, looks like Ramsey was trying to sit at the 1st down marker, wonder if Olave threw him a little fake speed out then blew past him

Nothing against Olave, I love his game! However, there's a spectacular crop of rooks this year!

Inconsistent? He plays the hardest position in the league against the other teams #1.

He's easily a top 5ish CB. Will Olave ever be a top 5 WR?

Ramsey is Top 3 and you can flip a coin as to which one is the best on any given week: Ramsey, Lattimore, or White. And Olave might eventually be a Top 5 wideout. What he's managed to do in this putrid offense has been pretty fantastic. Arguably the worst situation of any WR drafted in the first two rounds and he's outshining everyone else.

Olave will be one of the top pure WRs in the league for a long time. As a rookie his craft is already on par and ahead of a lot of top veteran WRs.

He is not going to be a Deebo Samuel or a DK Metcalf or a Tyreek Hill. There are other WRs who will have some crazy highlight plays. He is more like a Jerry Rice or the aforementioned Torry Holt, who as long as he is healthy could put together 10+ years of back to back to back 1,000 yard seasons.

He has stepped seamlessly into a #1 role as a rookie. And he continues to get better, even as teams get film on him, even as they dedicate their #1 cover player to him. He is that good.

The thing about getting a pure WR like that is you know exactly what they are. He won't be an up and down, streaky, unpredictable player. He's going to consistently run great routes, get separation, make great catches. He will be hands down the best WR from this draft class and one of the best in the league for years to come.

So far my favorite part of Olave’s game is how he attacks the ball. He doesn’t wait for the ball to come to him, he’s goes to the ball, high points it and catches with his hands. You just don’t see many rookies come in and play the ball like that
